I will gladly transfer memorials to relatives as long as I don't have a close relation to them. I will also be more than happy to add information to memorials I have added. Please have patience as I don't spend a lot of time on here. Usually, requests are done in the order that I receive them.

Thank you to all who have contributed to this great database!

Willie Kirk
DO you have any info on Willie Kirk. I am searching for William Riley Kirk who died in 1965. This Willie seems to fit. I know he had three daughter, Brenda and Linda twins and Joyce. I have no wife name. If this is the one he is part of my Kirk family. Thanks for any info.

Wow, good detective work! and thanks for letting me know — even if for my own purposes it didn't pan out… I owe you one.

Best,

Charles Douglas Rotsler
Would you consider transferring this memorial to me? I am doing the Rotsler family history and would be honored to have his site.

This is a bit of a Hail Mary pass, but do you have a way of checking this, might this man be James Nicholls (or Nicholas) Allison, 1848‑1918? Heitman's Historical Register and Dictionary of the United States Army lists him as born in nearby Catlettsburg, KY in 1848, and Cullum's Register of the Graduates of the United States Military Academy (entry 2391, Class of 1871, online at http://bit.ly/Cullum2391) completes his bio by giving his death as May 2, 1918.

I realize of course there are plenty of Allisons and there may be many of them buried in the area; also that for these two people to be the same, we'd have to have 2 errors, not just one. Still, depending on your source (handwriting, for example), it might conceivably be the right man.

Kind regards,

Wrong cemetery
Hi Brenda, I'm just let me know that you have your photo request after wrong cemetery. There is no helpful Alto Mesa Memorial in San Mateo. I think you are looking Alta Mesa Memorial in Santa Clara. If you would call Alta Mesa at 650-493-1041 and ask for dear location I'd be happy to go out and get a picture of the headstone.
