I grew up in Maine but have lived in California for 25 years now. My vocation is teaching world history to 7th graders. My avocation is family history, especially cemetery hopping during my annual trips back home. I love findagrave but found very little in the database for central Maine. I've been trying to rectify that from my collection and the local newspaper and funeral home. I know how excited I get when I find information here and hope that I can help others find that same thrill.|

|Farrar and related families||On behalf of the Farrar family, thank you for your helpful photos.|
|Andre Roy||RE: Philomene|
What do I need to provide you then? Can I email you a picture? And her details?
|Andre Roy||RE: Philomene|
It's good. Thanks.
Should I expect something else regarding Virginie Jenny Daigle Laplante?
It's quite complicated when people change name from when they were born. The grave has Jenny Laplante.
|Andre Roy||RE: Lavina Ritchie|
Thanks for the reply.
I think there might be something with the search engine. She does not come up if I type Philomene Gilbert or Lavina Ritchie. When I typed only Ritchie for that cemetary, then she came up as Philomene "Lavina" Gilbert Ritchie. Anyways, there is a picture for her record.
I sent an email regarding Jenny Laplante. I cannot find her all together. She was born Virginie Daigle (Deag). She married a Landry and then Eugene Laplante. I did find him but I cannot find her. I have a picture for her as well. She is the daughter of Lavina.
Thanks in advance

Sorry, I appear to have made an error. I do show her mother dying in 1884. As far as Jane Lincoln, all I know is that Stillman Howard married her after Jane Kincaid according to Herman's Howard book published in 1903. Herman may have made a mistake since Stillman's mother was a Hannah Lincoln. He may have made an error in his work. If Herman Howard is correct then either Jane Kincaid divorced Stillman or she died before 1870 (Stillman's year of death) and the Jane Kincaid on the headstone should be actually be Jane Lincoln. I will do further research but it appears to me that Herman Howard made a mistake since there are other documents that states Jane Kincaid died in 1884.(such as U.S., Sons of the American Revolution Membership Applications, 1889-1970)
There was also a Jane Howard living with Stillman Howard Jr in 1880. It gives her age as 82, pretty close to 1800.
