Bio

Born in Wexford county, Michigan. Retired from Federal Service in '95 after a career in Radar and Broadcasting. Became interested in genealogy after moving to Florida. Since discovering findagrave, I've spent many hours in virtual cemeteries. My wish is to someday have enough time to completely photograph and upload certain cemeteries. Some of the surnames I'm working on are Altman, Zeitz, Irwin, Ketchum, O'Neal, Lewis, Switzer and Bond.

As a military veteran, I've promised myself to post a memorial for all deceased veterans in my area whose obits list a cemetery. Living in an area with a large military retiree population means I'm going to be busy! Since I am obviously not related to most of the families for whom I've created a memorial, I would be happy to transfer the ownership to a family member. Just send me an email request. Or request through this site.

The image on this page is my G-Grandfather, George Altman, who spent 4 years in the Civil War as a Private with the Ohio 68th Infantry. Members of my family have served in the military during every war we've fought, going all the way back to the Revolutionary War.
