Picture taker, scavenger, finder of the lost....Visitor to many of those long gone.|
A stone with a name is a memorial, it represents the last hard impression of the person for whom it was prepared. To research and say something about the person keeps the personality alive.
I will connect links that are identified as long as you give me all of the memorial numbers involved.
I do not want to place incorrect information in a memorial, so I will correct errors to a memorial when they are accurately identified.
I know that people will find infomation about a given person but please do not send that information to me to add under bio, as I do not have the time to add it. If they are your direct family, I will transfer the memorial to you. Please explain the relationship and identify all applicable numbers for me in order to do this.
Thank you for your understanding.

|Jonathan Beacher||Thanks for photographing Edgewood Cemetery!|
Most grateful for taking your photograph of Elizabeth Leaf Beecher's grave. Years of searching for her birth and death years produced no results, so your photo is the first time we know she was born in 1822 and died in 1844. She was married to Daniel Herr Beecher, one of the most prominent merchants running the largest department store in Pottstown in the late 1800s. The Beecher mansion on King street was dedicated as the home of the Pottstown Young Women's Christian association when he died.

Mike, you recently fulfilled my photo request. Now that I've seen the headstone, I've realized that her mother shares the grave. Would you please add the same photo to her mother's Memorial #152733127. Thanks.

Thanks for adding the photo. I see now where you got the mother name being Elizabeth. Looks like ancestry shows her mother as Elizabeth Brauer (1827-1851). Interesting that it shows Elizabeth (Brauer) Hatfield died 10 days after giving birth in 1851 to Elizabeth (Hatfield) Wensel...who in turn died the day after bearing her stillborn child in 1879. Wow. I'll try to find mother Elizabeth (Brauer) Hatfield.
As for the birth date of Elizabeth (Hatfield) Wensel, she was definitely born in 1851 10 days before her mother died, not 1854. Plus the tombstone says she was 28 when she died in 1879.
Thanks for all you do and thanks for keeping me straight.
