RE: Mount Harmony Cem./Adeline DUNN
Hi Yvonne,
I'm taking the picture off.
This is a duplicate memorial for Nancy Adelene Dunn. Her correct memorial is 43157629.
After I posted this photo I saw there was four memorials for her so I started asking for deletes on all but the one from her known family and asking if the others were related in hopes of connecting more family and sharing information.
If you are a relation please let us know.
My goodness it's always a pleasure to fine family and I'm got my fingers cross that your are family.
If you will delete this memorial and use the other one with a picture and headstone I think you'll be happy with all the extra data.

I am looking for information on Christina M. Finn. She married Frederich Finn, b. 1842 Germany and d. 1897 in Carpentersville, Kane, Illinois. Christina was born in Germany, I would like to find out more about her family, maiden name and etc. Barbara McDowell

RE: Duplicate entry for David King
Hi Yvonne Look up the Hurst Cemetery and you'll see it listed twice. Not sure who set it up but one is listed in Gepp and the other listing is Fulton. Its the same cemetery just not all the people are listed in both. We need to clean that up. Marlene

Duplicate entry for David King
Hi Thanks for calling attention to the duplication. I received a message from Pamela stating the Hurst Cemetery was not in Gepp. I checked and found that the Hurst Cemetery is listed twice once in Gepp and the other just in Fulton Co. That explains why I was finding someone one time but not another, which is the reason I added some family names.
I can't contact Pamela but am going to contact FIND A Grave and see how to go about combining the two cemeteries as well as the memorials. We'll need to keep the earliest entry for each individual and add any additional info that appears on the duplicate entries. Do you have any experience is this area or any suggestions? Thanks again for your help. MKingLee

RE: Duplicate Memorials
When I first started on Find A Grave, I found some of my families that had already been entered and contacted the contributors, and only got one response. If you check any memorial I have entered, and the ones I duplicated, you will see differences and/or errors. I have only had one that I had duplicated contact me. I have a very large family, over 6,000, and I want any one of them to be able to trace their ancestors, etc. on the correct trail.
You mentioned the confusion I caused, but, I did not intend to confuse anyone like I was confused when I first using Find A Grave because some of the ones I had found sent me in totally wrong directions.
If Find A Grave is to be an aid to genealogists and historians, it needs to be corrected.

RE: Duplicate Memorials
I am relatively new to FindAGrave and when I would run across an entry that I knew was wrong I would send a message to the person offering a correction. None responded so I would add a duplicate to correct what I know is wrong. All that I have added are members of my family. The McCullochs, the Otwells, the Robertsons, the Pollards, the Walkers and the rest under my name were all family. I grew up with them, my mother was an Otwell, my father was a McCulloch, my grandmother was a Robertson, my Grandfather was an Otwell, my ggrandfather was a Pollard and so on.
I have documentation to prove what I have entered on my families, and can provide it if requested. I received 28 emails this morning, and sent all to my spam file. Some of the names included were that were supposed to be copied or corrected were names I found nothing on and were posted first by me.
I will change my email address, because someone's has been hacked.
