Each and every life is worth living, loving and remembering.|
My husband and I enjoy finding monuments for other people and am extremely grateful to the volunteers who have found my own people for me. We've been working on finding the little pioneer cemeteries in the area and putting their inhabitants online. Four of our memorial pages even helped to catch a gravestone thief. Cemeteries are extremely vulnerable to vandalism, theft, negligent cattlemen, and the damage of time and weather. We appreciate all of the volunteers out there who are working so hard to document them before they are lost to history.

I'm not a numbers addict or collector, but I adhere to Findagrave policy:
◊Find A Grave's primary purpose is a graves registration website.
◊Find A Grave's secondary purpose is a memorialization/remembrance site.
◊Find A Grave's tertiary purpose is a genealogical resource.
Transfers are only made within the guidelines set up by Find A Grave. These guidelines are in place for a reason - whether one cares to accept them or not. I am not going to debate what the owner has deemed acceptable for his site with members who choose not to agree with the guidelines. "The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it." I am willing to consider transferring ownership to you if you have a close family member among my records. I rarely transfer relationships more distant than first cousin... just having someone "in my family tree" or "a relative" will not elicit a transfer.
If you want information added to a memorial, go to the memorial and use the "Edit" tab to send me the information-- including family links. I will add information to the memorial, I do not transfer just because someone wants to add links or other information. Bottom line: what are you planning on doing with the entry that I haven't already done or am unable to do?
On the other hand, if you upload family photos or in some other way add value to the memorial, I am much more willing to transfer. I will always transfer a memorial if you sponsor it.
I welcome all corrections to my own work. Some records were imported using OCR so have inevitable errors, both from the original records and from machine interpretation. I am only human and make mistakes, too, but will always make it priority to correct them.

|Robyn Madara Jay||RE: Sarah Buck photo|
While uploading photos for Sarah Buck and others interned in Lazarus Cemetery (aka St Peters Lutheran Cemetery), which is located in Grovania in Montour Township, Columbia County, I discovered that the cemetery is also listed, in error, in Montour County, with 304 internments. Perhaps you can find additional family members on the other page.

Either you have been a busy bee or I haven't been on in longer than I thought! But I just hit my 10 year findagrave anniversary... yeah!
Thanks for the info on Paul. My records indicated where he was buried with no gravestone showing. That helped a lot. I see you made a Memorial for Emma Lou Carrow. I will be posting pictures to her gravesite after Christmas. I have a lot of pictures of the Carrow family that I will also be posting to other Carrow's. I do not fit in the guidelines on Find A Grave so I'll not ask to manage her Memorial. But I can give you information on Emma. Again after the Holidays. Merry Christmas to you and yours
I just got your message regarding Bobby Fedde asking if I knew for sure if he was interred at the Belcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. I have attached his obituary that was published in The Dalles Chronicle that states that he was going to be interred in the family crypt at Belcrest Memorial Gardens. I typed in Belcrest under cemetery search and Belcrest Memorial Park Cemetery was the only choice that popped up, not Belcrest Memorial Gardens. I believe that they may be one and the same since there are many other Fedde's interred there. Perhaps his cremains just haven't been interred yet as his obituary said "at a later date".
Bobby Joe Fedde U.S. Veteran
August 29, 1937 - May 18, 2015
Bobby Joe was born on August 29, 1937, in Jewell, Kan. He moved with his family to Oregon in 1949, before finally settling in Salem, Ore.
Bobby Joe served a stint in the Air Force, then spent many years truck driving and working road construction. He moved his family to Rufus, Ore., in 1969. He owned the Rufus Hancock Gas Station for a short time, then worked at the Martin-Marietta Aluminum Plant for 13 years.
When the plant closed, Bobby Joe and his wife then moved to Umatilla, Ore., to be with their son. Bobby Joe drove truck and worked for Taggares (Boardman, Ore.) for several years before working for Wal-Mart in floor maintenance, where he retired.
Bobby Joe is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gail, and son Steven, both of Umatilla. No services or memorials are planned at this time.
His cremated remains will be inurned in the family crypt at Belcrest Memorial Gardens in Salem, Ore., at a later date.
