My husband and I enjoy finding monuments for other people and am extremely grateful to the volunteers who have found my own people for me. We've been working on finding the little pioneer cemeteries in the area and putting their inhabitants online. Four of our memorial pages even helped to catch a gravestone thief. Cemeteries are extremely vulnerable to vandalism, theft, and the damage of time and weather. We appreciate all of the volunteers out there who are working so hard to document them before they are lost to history. Lately we're working hard to upload GPS coordinates with the Findagrave App-- WE LOVE IT!|

Please note that I adhere to Findagrave policy, whether or not you may agree with it:
◊Find A Grave's primary purpose is a graves registration website.
◊Find A Grave's secondary purpose is a memorialization/remembrance site.
◊Find A Grave's tertiary purpose is a genealogical resource.
If a listing or contribution corresponds with only the primary purpose, it has fulfilled its part of Find A Grave's mission and is not required to correspond with the secondary and tertiary purposes. Fulfilling the other two is welcomed, encouraged and deeply appreciated, but as far as Find A Grave's purpose goes, a memorial page isn't lacking if it does not.
Transfers are only made within the guidelines set up by Find A Grave. These guidelines are in place for a reason - whether one cares to accept them or not. I am not going to debate what the owner has deemed acceptable for his site with members who choose not to agree with the guidelines. "The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it." I am willing to consider transferring ownership to you if you have a close family member among my records. I rarely transfer relationships more distant than first cousin... just having someone "in my family tree" or "a relative" will not elicit a transfer.
If you want information added to a memorial, go to the memorial and use the "Edit" tab to send me the information-- including family links. I will add information to the memorial, I do not transfer just because someone wants to add links or other information. Bottom line: what are you planning on doing with the entry that I haven't already done or am unable to do?
I may not transfer to you if the number of memorials that you manage is significantly greater than the number that you have contributed. Also, I hesitate to transfer memorials to those who do sloppy work, so emails laden with misspellings or other inaccuracies generally are ignored. Bad spelling is a pet peeve of mine.
On the other hand, I will always transfer if a memorial is sponsored. And if you upload family photos or in some other way add value to the memorial, I am much more willing to transfer.
I welcome all corrections to my own work. Some records were imported using OCR so have inevitable errors, both from the original records and from machine interpretation. I am only human and make mistakes, too, but will always make it priority to correct them.

Okay, thank you! And thank you for creating a memorial page for James as well.
Hi Carrie and Allen,
I am leaving a message for you in regards to my family memorials that you have in your possession. I emailed you through the email provided on Find A Grave but have not received a response yet so therefore am trying this avenue to reach you. I have a copy of the email message to this one.
I failed to add the memorial #'s of my family under your care. So I am providing them now so that you know exactly who I am talking about.
31469463 Alvira Stockton (Aunt)
31469247 Ernest Stockton (Uncle)
80286892 Donna Ernies wife (Aunt)
31534479 Waunita Stockton (Aunt)
31469250 Ernie jr (Cousin)
31469250 Wayne Dean (Cousin)
Also in my family are the Zimmerlee's, Abel's, and Brook's. Most of which are buried in Juniper Haven Cemetery and most of which I see that you have created memorials for. My family homesteaded Prineville in the 1800's.
If you would please transfer the requested memorials to me so I can make family connections for them, I would appreciate it.
Hi Carrie and Allen,
Waunita’s second husband was Minor Shaykett. Her parents have a memorial on Find A Grave as well and should be connected. I have been trying to make any necessary changes and additions to my family line. Waunita is/was my aunt. 1 of 12! So it has been a daunting task for sure. Her parents memorial #’s are Hiram Stockton 15674182 and Verna McMillan Stockton 54850820.
Please note that Waunita and her brother James were of the same parents. However, Hiram was widowed from Verna and remarried my grandmother, Esther Mildred Serby Proffitt. Esther had two children from a prior marriage and then had 8 more with Hiram. My father being a product of that union.
If you could see fit and willing, I would ask that the Stockton’s that are connected to me be transferred over as it makes it so much easier to update memorials.
I understand your stance on this issue and agree with you on it. You have done so much that others would not have been able to do! I do appreciate the hard work that goes into keeping up memorials. On that note, I believe that I have more to add to my family memorials i.e. pictures, stories, family relationships and the like.
Thank you for your time and THANK YOU for the good work you do!
I found a grave in Concordia Cemetery of Nancy M. Myers, 1860-1908. On her head stone it reads she is the wife of J.C. Myers. Could this be the wife of the Jacob Clarence Myers you have a memorial listed for as buried in Concordia Cemetery?

May I have your permission to download the photo of the gravestone of W. G. Ramsower (Memorial# 18006545)?
I would like to upload it into my Ancestery family tree.
Thank you for your consideration.

You're welcome. Time has taken its toll on that stone. Plus, I'm a rookie at photography.

I was just curious if you are related to the Isham's, Cyrus', or Little family. I have just seen you doing a lot of work on those sites.

Thank you so much for creating this memorial and all the others you have created and thank you for the quick update, I appreciate it!
|September||Penelton Heith Rogers|
When Penelton died his body was shipped to Portland from California, so I guess I assumed that they were going to burying him with family. I'm not sure why I also put his brother in the same cemetery. I have removed them and will research further.
Hello Carrie and Allen, I just noticed that in your memorial for Susanna,# 37953375, you have son Philip Ochs listed twice. No big deal. Thanks very much for all your hard work and dedication!
