We are behind on our edits. But we will get to yours as soon as we can! Sorry for any delay. I haven't lost yours.|
My husband and I enjoy finding monuments for other people and am extremely grateful to the volunteers who have found my own people for me. We've been working on finding the little pioneer cemeteries in the area and putting their inhabitants online. Four of our memorial pages even helped to catch a gravestone thief. Cemeteries are extremely vulnerable to vandalism, theft, negligent cattlemen, and the damage of time and weather. We appreciate all of the volunteers out there who are working so hard to document them before they are lost to history.

I'm not a numbers addict or collector, but I adhere to Findagrave policy:
◊Find A Grave's primary purpose is a graves registration website.
◊Find A Grave's secondary purpose is a memorialization/remembrance site.
◊Find A Grave's tertiary purpose is a genealogical resource.
Transfers are only made within the guidelines set up by Find A Grave. These guidelines are in place for a reason - whether one cares to accept them or not. I am not going to debate what the owner has deemed acceptable for his site with members who choose not to agree with the guidelines. "The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it." I am willing to consider transferring ownership to you if you have a close family member among my records. I rarely transfer relationships more distant than first cousin... just having someone "in my family tree" or "a relative" will not elicit a transfer.
If you want information added to a memorial, go to the memorial and use the "Edit" tab to send me the information-- including family links. I will add information to the memorial, I do not transfer just because someone wants to add links or other information. Bottom line: what are you planning on doing with the entry that I haven't already done or am unable to do?
On the other hand, if you upload family photos or in some other way add value to the memorial, I am much more willing to transfer. I will always transfer a memorial if you sponsor it.
I welcome all corrections to my own work. Some records were imported using OCR so have inevitable errors, both from the original records and from machine interpretation. I am only human and make mistakes, too, but will always make it priority to correct them.

Thank you for your considerable work on Findagrave. I just accepted your request to add a burial location on my distant cousin's grave. I appreciate this update, and you!

I looked for some Dreisbachs at odd fellows today. Couldn't find but will keep on looking

I'm sorry, but no matter what I try, it still scales it to the sideways orientation. Youre welcome to do whatever you need to with the photos. Thanks.

I have added my picture to the original entry. In the past I had requested the DOB and DOD information be added to that entry. It was never added even though I requested it several times.
I notice you have now asked for the DOB and DOD info to be added. I'll watch the memorial to see when/if it is added. At that time I'll delete my entry.
Thanks for your input.

Would you by chance know her full date of birth? She married my grandmother's brother and I just had a date of about 1883. I'll make the change to 1884.
Hi, Thanks for the great photo.

Hi Carrie, Can you move Elizabeth to Plainfield Cemetery as I have a photo of her stone from there? Her last name is spelled Honig on the stone. I can add the photo once you move her.
