Bio

You can use any of the photos I have taken for your own use. I take them for you... not me. You don't need my permission.

I am a hobby level genealogist. I have gone to Salt Lake City to the Family History Library to do research. I have criss-crossed many an old cemetery in search of headstones.

I take photos of gravestones in the local cemeteries: Hills Ferry in Newman, San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery outside of Santa Nella, and Patterson Cemetery between Patterson and Westley, CA.

The gravestones at different cemeteries can be very different looking. Most stones are very traditional, but sometimes the stones are a bit disappointing. In Hills Ferry the stones are sometimes the name and the grave location. In Patterson some stones are very, very small with the name stamped into the cement. I try to take the best photograph I can of those stones, but sometimes they are just stones that are hard to read because of weathering or the way they were made.
