Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am very passionate about doing genealogical research. I have found the Find-A-Grave website very useful and I am trying to post as many memorials as possible in order to help other people find the burial locations of their ancestors. If you have any additional information about any of the people I have posted memorials for, or would like me to transfer ownership, please contact me.

1870 and 1880 Census-
Hello again :)

I found on the census of 1870 and of 1880, John was the younger brother of William and their father was Benaniel. I am pretty sure this is the family of my 2nd great grandfather William Shaw.. but would still love to hear from you :) I do have a picture of William I can share and hope you may have some photos of John or Benaniel or any of the family members. Take care and talk soon,

Corinna

John Elsworth Shaw, Son of Benaniel/Benauel
Hello there :)
I am hoping you may know if John had a brother or relation to a William Shaw? William is one of my great grandfathers born around 1860. I am trying to find out who his parents and siblings were. If you have any knowledge, please reach out to me. Thank you so much!

RE: Crawford line help
That is so exciting! Yes I am related to the Macoupin county Crawfords. I plan to go to Springfield sometime this summer and take the trip to Macoupin to see what kind of vital records I can get and I hope to find somewhere a picture of one of my I think 3 or 4 x great grandfathers picture from the civil war. I also need to visit Morgan county. Those people aren't very helpful unless your standing in front of them. How far have you traced back since Edward? I am not sure if I am pulling up correct information on the Crawford side once it goes over to Scotland? I found that the Crawford on my moms side and my dads side connect at Alexander Crawford and Mary McPheeters so I will be tracing the same line twice and not sure whats true and whats not. My email is elmomommie@yahoo.com and you can find me on facebook if you use that site as well. I was hoping to find some family since my dad only knew his grandma Golden Mary Crawford. My grandpa his father moved up here to Joliet after WW2 and disconnected with family. So any help would be appreciated

Crawford line help
Hello I noticed you took the picture of Joseph Crawfords grave at the Crawford cemetery. Since your last name is Crawford I am wondering if your related as well. If so I am hoping for any help since I am not very good with ancestry. I found my grandpas mother was Golden Crawford and I traced back from there. Any information you might have would be great especially if you still live in Southern Illinois where my dads side is from.

Second Family Info
Good morning! Catherine Vincent is my 2x great grandmother. I have information regarding Catherine's family with Obediah Vincent. 1) Lewis Frank Vincent (my great great grandfather), 1868-1941; 2)Sheridan Vincent, 1870-1918; 3)Lucy J. Vincent, 1878-Unk. I just received a copy of Catherine Vincent's application for widow's pension (Obediah's service in Black Hawk Indian War)from the National Archives. In her General Affadavit, she lists her birthdate as 14 Nov 1837. Her daughter Mary C. Alexander is one of the witnesses who completes a General Affadavit as well.
