I was born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 30, 1941. My parents, who had always loved the movies and had some dreams of my father working in them as an actor, moved us to Hollywood where we lived briefly.
Eventually, we moved to Ontario, California, about 35 miles east of Hollywood where my dad worked at the Orange Products Company.
In 1945, my only sister Carol was born in nearby Upland.
I went to Lincoln Elementary School, Vina Danks Junior High School, Chaffey Union High School and Chaffey College, during my time in Ontario.
