I've been an avid researcher of family history (my own, my wife's, and that of anyone else who wanders within range) since about 1970. Exploring cemeteries has been one of the most enjoyable parts of learning about families--I have ancestors and cousins buried all over southeast Alabama, and in a swath through GA, SC, NC, and VA (migration patterns are amazing!). I'm a semi-retired educator, teaching in college parttime now, but I'll always make time for genealogical pursuits.
