|Bio and Links|
Hi .. I found this site by a mutual researcher sending me the link and found it to be a GREAT asset! I enjoy doing family research so much I started collecting all records, pictures and what ever on my surname NANCE, and other variations of spelling NANCES/NANTZ/NANTS ect... |
I would be glad to add to or update bio information for that individual or transfer ownership of the ones I have added
(If not my own relatives).
If I have put a flower on any NANCE/NANTZ/NANTS ect, I probably have info. to share .. ONLY ON THE NANCE SIDES. PLEASE SEND MEMORIAL # with request, I have put flowers on over 9000+ memorials. thanks :)
I get so tired of hearing people say they wont delete a duplicate memorial because.... (For whatever reason).. Per FAG rules.. "You should never deliberately create a duplicate memorial."!! THIS MEANS YOU TOO!! Even if you do have more information!! FAG has made it very easy to send in for corrections, I do it all the time.

Thanks for the message about the duplicate.. I recreated Ruth's findagrave so added information and pictures could be used by the family.

I did Red Cross volunteering with Sally - what a fine lady she was - enjoyed our friendship. Did not know her husband or son.
I've added photos of her stone, along with husband Thomas, and son, Thomas.
If you want them taken over, just let me know. They were party in the shade this morning.

It is possible. I tried to read it as best as I could and the lighting is a major factor in reading it. In fact, I had to write down what I read since the writing is so hard to read. That particular cemetery is overgrown with bushes and alive with ticks galore.
I am just recovering from a severe case of poison ivy and I prefer not to get into any more brushwork.
If you have any evidence that it should be 1798, please contact the person who created the page, Mary Bob McClain; she's usually amenable to corrections.

Thanks for adding additional info for above. Is he related to you? I'll be happy to transfer if he is.
I thought you would be interested to know that I just linked Cloe Nance to her parents, Giles and Mary Nance. Thanks for making the memorials for them even though we don't know where the burial site is. There are a lot of Cloe's family in Morgan County and other area counties. You can see her memorial #104924248. She is buried in an obscure cemetery along with a lot of her family (Mitchell). I have not been able to locate her husband's (William) burial site yet.

Thanks for the correction. Just goes to show you can't always go by their death certificates. I did link Mary Jane with her parents and first husband.

Sonia, I noticed you had added a flower to Margaret Lucy Nance Lile's memorial Find A Grave # 528 46709. she married James Hester Lile 7 November 1816 in Granville County, N.C.
Do you have any information on Margaret? who were her parents? Would appreciate any thing you can tell me about her or her family. Thank you
On this site is Louisa I looked for with one question. What is the basis for 1918 date for death ? Thanx cuz

Hey Sonia, When entering Louisa Jane Barker at above Memorial # by listing only the county along with state and USA response is " Not found ". I have to enter earlier recorded Memorial # to get there.
As for my earlier query it is not your issue as others have used this memorial as evidence for a death that I believe is in error as this lady is not the same.
