I have been researching the O'Roke line since I was a teenager. |
Constantine O'Rorke and Elisabeth Kast are my 3rd great-grandparents. They had four daughters that have living descendants today: Julia O'Roke Carr, Eliza O'Roke Ferrin/Ferron, Nancy O'Roke Gallarno and Matilda O'Roke Harvey. Their sons with living descendants are: James O'Roke, Constantine O'Roke and Henry O'Roke [my 2nd great-grandfather].
Surnames of Con & Betsey O'Rorke's granddaughters are: Smith, Hiland, Root, Burr, Randall, Donnelly, Anderson, Countryman, Lindsey, Koch, Turner, Russell, Anderson / Meagher, Balcom / Wallenstein, Clark / Singleton and Hummel.

Constantine and Elizabeth are also my 3rd great-grandparents. Their daughter, DeEtte married Abraham Koch, and made the run for land in the "Cherokee Strip" in Oklahoma Territory. My grandfather, Glenn Koch, was their grandson, son of Franklin Koch and Gertrude Ogden. My mother was Betty Jean Koch, who married Keith E. Newton. My name is Kristine Kay Newton Hoffman. My brothers are Keith E. Newton, Jr. and Lyle A. Newton. So glad to have made this connection, as I did not know Elizabeth's last name!

Nope, no relation. I was photographing in Oakland Cemetery over the weekend and Mr. Rarick's headstone just happened to be among those I photographed and uploaded.
This cemetery has many of their burial records available online (http://www.map.ramaker.com/iowacity/ ), but Mr. Rarick's record isn't among them yet. I sent you the GPS coordinates in hopes that anyone who cares to pay respects in person will know where to look even without section and plot info. Thanks for updating his memorial.

Hi-I'm not related to Albert, or any Comstocks, I have no ancestors in CT at all. I've been adding the Comstocks to findagrave, that are buried in the Cedar Grove cem, New London, from a cemetery inscription book by Lucius B. Barbour, the same Barbour who is responsible for the vital records from each town in CT. When I add everyone in, I like to link them right away, rather than just "download" lists from the Charles Hale cem project (WPA). We have a few folks who think they are doing us all a favor and just adding folks without any of the inscription information, nor any links. I'm constantly sending two people in particular corrections/enhancements, most of the time they go ignored. These folks, even tho they are adding names, they are doing more damage than help.
I do thank you for the transfer, Irma
