Bio

I am a retiree from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in E Peoria, IL. I was born and raised around Saidora IL.,which is about 8 miles south of Bath. My wife and I both graduated from Balyki High School in Bath. I do a lot of work on Family genealogy and love to take pictures of Cemetery stones. I have traveled to quite a few states to get pictures of family stones and add them to my genealogy program. Last year (2007) I completed the documenting of Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito, IL., I took over 1850 pictures of the stones and copied the stone information for each one, this year (2009) I completed the documenting of the St Frederick cemetery in Manito, Il. If you are interested in Illinois Cemeteries and their history another good site besides "Find A Grave" is the "Illinois Trails" web site and look for the county of interest.

I would also like to add, I have spent many hours in all kinds of weather walking the cemeteries and taking pictures of headstones and collecting their information. If you take any of my photos and place them on other sites, at least give credit back to me. This is not being selfish, but giving credit to someone for their work is only right.
