Very interested in info on Schomberg family, also photos and info of Albert Galverton Presnall and his wife Mable E. Schomberg. Looking for info behind her family, especially. (other then what I have on my web site for her family). Any info appreciated.
I copied this from Forgetmenot but thought it appropriate:
"We will transfer any memorial, unless they are related & will gladly add obituaries or any other pertinent information. Please feel free to use our photographs for genealogical purposes."
Strangers in the Box
By Pamela A. Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white,
Faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people,
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where, when,
These faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be tossed away?
Make time to save your pictures,
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.

I made a typo. Richard's sister was Jane
|M Sue Baldwin-O'Dea||James M Queen|
James M. Queen was first married to Mary M. Strange. After she died, he married Priscilla Miles. When James died, Priscilla married Sylvester Queen. Mary Strange and James M were my gg grandparents. Their son William was my gr Grandfather. Sylvester Kidwell and his 1st wife, Mary Ann Clements were my gr gr Grandparents.
Sarah Webb and her 1st husband were not the parents of James M.Queen. He was born in 1820 4 yrs after Richard died. We have no record of birth for James M. Several professional researchers have tried to find his parents with no success. The same goes for Richard M Queen. There are records of guardianship papers in the Charles Co. Courthouse in Maryland. i have seen them and received a translation from Natalie Baker. His parents aren't mentioned. His and his sister, Jame were placed into the guardianship of William Montgomery. They then moved to Washington CO. KY.

|Mary Brown||Nancy Ann Beasley Key|
You have her listed as a child of William Beasley & Rachael Robinette, which I did not have in my records on ancestry.com. When I went to add her to my tree I got an alert that said the DOB you have listed for her is before her mother's child bearing age. So I went back to the picture of her headstone posted on her page here to check the date & can't read a bit of it. Can you tell me how you found her DOB & her siblings? I've not been able to find any info on any of her siblings other than Wm Beasley, who is my 5x g-grandfather, which is why I'm interested in Nancy.
Any info you might be able to share will be most gratefully appreciated.

I believe the father on this memorial may be incorrect. I have several sources showing her father as John B. Miles, though I don't have info on the mother. I have shown his name as John Benedict but perhaps it was Barton, and he went by it. Could you check on this an let me know if I am wrong, as I am a descendant of some members of the Miles family.

What a joy to find the Benjamin Cravens family in Cedar County MO!! My Dad was a Cravens from Washington county, IN where Benjamin and Harriet (Mein) were married, but the family lost them after 1854 -- all we had was Uncle "Harry's", his nickname, birth and death date. Sometime we would enjoy visiting the Cravens cemetery. Do you happen to have a GPS reading or a more specific location? Thanks for everything you are doing!! Verbec@embarqmail.com
