Bio

I became interested in genealogy because my parents took an interest in their family history. My mother's ancestors settled in New England and include Mayflower passengers (Francis Cooke, Peter Browne, John and Elinor Billington, George Soule, and Richard Warren) and American Revolutionary War patriots Samuel Ransom and Ira Stephens. Her ancestors found their way to Oregon in the 1850's. Most of my father's ancestors settled in Virginia in the 1700's and moved to Missouri before moving to California.

The Internet has helped our family find out more about our roots. Living far from the places where my ancestors settled, lived, and died, I appreciate the many volunteers who have photographed the cemeteries where my ancestors and relatives are buried.
