I recently found the Find-A-Grave site and am so please that it has enabled me to find the graves of so many family members. So . . . I am doing my part to post those tombstone photos that I have taken myself to share those with others.|
I'm happy to take over the management of any memorials that are within my "family circle" if you'd like me to - or just to make "corrections" and suggestions and let you manage it! Let's all just work together to get family link connections to "keep the family together"!

Thank you for sending the correction for Louise. I have added your notes to the memorial. Are you related to Louise?
I would be happy to turn over your aunts site to you. Please send me her full name so I can find her for you. Thanks for your interest in the site.

Correction received, but I am questioning the date. What is the source? Death record gives his birth date as 13 Feb 1909; he was age 0 in 1910 Census (with parents), age 9 in 1920 Census (with father, in household of John Blaylock). His parents did have another son born 22 Dec and died 23 Dec 1912 - there was no first name in death record. Would be interested in any information you have about the other children, and Sarah May Jones and Phoebe Jones. Phoebe was my grandmother's sister, and Sarah May was her aunt. Thanks much!

Hi Jan -
Thanks for writing. Elsie was the wife of my 3rd cousin, twice removed, Roger Eugene Hartley (1888-1962) both buried in Glendale Cemetery , Des Moines, Polk, Iowa, USA.
Sorry to say that I don't have anything on Elsie's family as she is not related to me - only by marriage. I do have two photos of Elsie and Roger that I picked up from Ancestry.com. I'd be happy to send them on to you if you would like. Drop me an email (need your email address) and I'll send them on to you.
Again, good to hear from you.

You are very welcome!

Jan, I love your picture along with the caption. What I want is your permission to use Marion's picture that you have posted on his memorial. I am related through Daniel Stauffer and Sarah Merrill (my 2nd great grand aunt).

That's not close enough for findagrave's policy guidelines, but they are just guidelines, not rules, and that's close enough for me. Will try to remember to do this tomorrow. Am recovering from major surgery so if I don't, please do not hesitate to send me a reminder.

Thank you for your suggestions. Are you related to her and if so, how? if you are related to her, would you prefer to have the management of her memorial transferred to you? I am only distantly related to her, by the marriage of my maternal grandfather's sister to a Sykes. I believe I only made the memorial because my family and I had just taken photos of all the Sykes' gravestones we found in that cemetery, not knowing how all of them are related.
Do you know who her parents are? Another sister of a great-grandmother and her daughter both married Stauffers, father and son, in that area. If they are related to Annie Stauffer Sykes, I'd like to make that connection on my tree on ancestry.com.
Just let me know one way or the other about the transfer. Thanks again!!
Thanks for the additional information, always glad to add to a memorial. cj
