I was born and raised in Bedford Co. I have been researching my family for the past 10 years. I married Jay Lloyd Clapper from Morrison's Cove. My mother was Anna Belle Deremer and my father is Raymond James Nave. Other surnames that I am researching are Cessna, O'Neal, Sollenberger, Teeter, Amick, Campbell.|
I started my research in 1999 and I now have over 70,000 names from Bedford County in it.
My stonewall is my great-great-great-grandfather Christian Nave. I have not been able to find out much about him. I think he may have come from Morrison's Cove. Last source I have is the 1823 tax list for Cumberland Vally. I have been trying to find his burial location for the past 10 years with no success. His wife was Barbara Miller. Her burial location along with her son Nicholas is also a mystery.

|Lynn Erb||Peter Mock b.1742|
Hi Harriet, My name is Lynn Erb and I created the memorials for the Hoover Farm Cemetery with the following 3 Memorials: (1) Peter Mock b.1776 (s/o Peter Mock b.1742),(2)Catherine Carn b.1775 (w/o Peter Mock b.1766) and (3)Elizabeth Sample b.1747 w/o Peter Mock b.1742. I would like to move the above memorials from the Hoover Farm Cemetery to the "Peter Mock Graveyard" on Find-A-Grave upon your okay. From what I understand the old home place and gravestones were removed and destroyed in 1985. So sad to see family memories and artifacts wiped out. I am so glad someone at lease photographed it before it was removed. Please reply and let me know,Lynn

Please correct Jane's name to Jane Gillum Oliver. You used her husband's middle name as her last name. She was married to Francis Morgan Oliver.

|Jim Snyder Jr.||Wm Pringle|
Would you share the documents stating about Wm Pringle's death date and burial site? Wm paid taxes in Woodbury Twp. Bedford Co. when he died in 1829. I contacted the local SAR & DAR they know of no records for his burial site.
I believe he is buried in the Claysburg area, there is a Philip Pringle 1807-1880 buried in the Pressel cemetery.
I volunteer for the Blair Co. Genealogical Society and like to file this info.
Jim Snyder Jr.
|Martha Thompson||William Stuart Strait|
Please send me Mr. Straits memorial number and I will most certainly look into it.

|Donald Whipple Fox / Hushasha||Bedford Valley|
Hi Harriet: I'm researching my maternal aunt's husband's family, the Zembowers. I have run into a few obituaries with place names which are proving difficult for me. Most of the individuals are in Cumberland, Alleghany, Maryland. However, I keep seeing "Bedford Valley." I can't make it out if that is in Maryland or Pennsylvania or both. Some of these obituaries simply state that the individual was born in Bedford Valley and that their child lives in "city." I have no idea and was wondering if you have come upon this. Thanks for any help you can give me. Best wishes from sultry Minneapolis, Donald Fox
|Bronwyn||Mary E. Roberts Perdew|
Mary E. Roberts Perdew is not buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery with her husband. She is buried in the Johnson cemetery. Her parents, George W. and Rebecca P. Roberts are also there. Please transfer her memorial to the correct cemetery and link her to her parents.
When the family went to bury her husband, Moses K. Perdew, the grave kept filling with water so they buried him in Mt. Hope Cemetery as a second choice.

|Tracelines||Source for Margaret Wisegarver Crissman burial|
Could you share your source for Margaret Wisegarver Crissman being buried in Horn Cemetery? There is no photo of the grave and a published genealogy states that she is buried in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Cessna. I'd love to know your source as it would make sense she is buried with her husband in Horn.
