When my son, Eric, was required to do a school project - research to find a blood relative in the time of the Civil War - I had no idea of where to begin. Once we did begin,however,I was instantly hooked to the world of genealogy.
Surnames I have researched (some extensively and some just barely): Akin, Beimer, Beske, Blackburn, Hackney, Hastings, May, Sage, Schoeman, Schreck and Wells.
The quest continues....and will continue....until the day I die.
