Fran Determann
May Adams
Hi, Fran Determann again, Aunt May name is MAE ELIZABETH GUTHRIE BENSENE ADAMS and I have other cousins who just do not understand why her brothers James Julian Guthrie 1923 - 2008 and John Burr Guthrie 1909 - 1993 are not listed as siblings. I explained their ashes were never buried in a cemetery at Milford and California. Is there a way they can be added?? Thank You

Correction needed please
While doing some family tree research I found that Richard Vander Woude(#138566538) is actually the son of Dick Vander Woude(#107108815) and his first wife Mary Brandsma Vander Woude(#107108834). I found this information in his birth records, & I would be glad to send you confirmation of this. I submitted an edit to this effect but wanted you to know why I was requesting the change. Thank you!

RE: A. Gould
You did notice the discrepancy in the birth years between the Almeda Allen Blunt 63334168 and the 1880 census? This can't be the same individual. The obit says nothing about a son named Gould. I guess it's another mystery.

RE: A. Gould
You already found them? A divorce did not occur to me at all. Are the documents available on line? Please give me a link if they are. Thank you. I wonder who this A Gould is then?

RE: A. Gould
First let me say that I am descended from Wilbur D. Gould, b 1800 Dutchess Co, NY, d. 1880 Tioga Co NY. He had a son Allen b 1824 Dutchess Co, d. unknown date after 1900 in Palisade, Minehaha Co, SD. Allen had a son he named Wilbur D., b 1856, Tioga Co, NY, d. 1925, Sioux Falls, SD. Wilbur D.'s first wife was Almeda, nee Allen according to their son Benjamin Smith Gould's SS App below:
Benjamin Smith Gould
in the U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007
Name: Benjamin Smith Gould
Gender: Male
Race: White
Birth Date: 23 Apr 1876
Birth Place: Dickenson CO, Iowa
Father: Wilbur D Gould
Mother: Almedia Allan

Wilbur and Almeda and Benjamin Smith are living with his parents in 1880:
1880 Federal Census, Lakeville, Dickinson, Iowa
Allain Gould 56
Mary Gould 52
Wilber D. Gould 24
Almeda Gould 23
Joseph Gould 21
James O. Gould 19
Benjamin S. Gould 2

Wilbur remarried probably 1883 or 1884 as the first child with wife #2 was born in 1885.

Most likely Almeda had passed away in 1881 or 1882. Since the location of the 1880 census is Lakeville, Dickinson Co, Iowa, it is quite likely that this A. Gould with no stone, buried in Lakeview Cemetery is the Almeda who was wife #1 of this Wilbur D.

I know that all the similar names are confusing and I may be very inaccurate with my assumption, adding 2 and 2 and getting 5.

Please review this situation and tell me what you think. Thank you. Daryl
