I have been a member of Ancestry.com for many years, but this website has turned up many new family facts. It is very easy to use, and it is FREE!|
I think this website is fabulous and made all the better by wonderfully generous, contributing people. I want to do my part. Thank you to all.

I had to jump right on it when you pointed it out that I somehow missed linking them. I don't usually miss something like that. Not for people who are in my tree anyways. I'll have to look at that line a little later, I'm sure I have more pictures you'll be interested in as that was one of the founding families here in Killingly. I'm even just a stones throw away from what's known as Alexanders Lake in Dayville Conn.

Actually, I just checked the memorials. Jack Shackles took the pictures. You need to ask him if you can use the photos.

you may use my pictures, just give me credit.
When a gravestone says in the 77th year, the person is actually 76 years old.

I looked up and was able to confirm that Albert Ransford Smith and Josephine Baris Smith were William Ransford Smith's parents. This was via a marriage record for William and Flora (Hockman) Smith on Ancestry.com. Hope it helps you in your search.

I just sent you a private message with some info including this link: http://readfieldmaine.blogspot.com/2013/09/joseph-baker-of-readfield-and-moscow.html

It comes from Banks "History of Martha's Vineyard"; at least that is what I have written in my notes. I have the book so I will check to see if I can find the exact page no.

|Jim Gabbert||RE: Lucie Meriwether Gabbert|
I just now saw your message, and I apologize for my slow reply.
Lucie Meriwether Gabbert was a sister of my grandfather, Meriwether William Gabbert. I provided information at Find-a-Grave about all of Granddaddy's siblings.
I'm afraid I don't know how Lucie and T.E. Smith met, but Lucie's granddaughter, Mickey, may know. Her email address is email@example.com.
No mine is NOT the duplicate . Mine was done in 2006. The other stupid person duplicated me, instead of sending me info. Go take it up with the stupid one. Be more careful of who your call names and get the FACTS straight.

I have transferred to you since this is not a relative of mine. Thanks for your kind words. Nancy
