I think this website is fabulous and made all the better by wonderfully generous, contributing people. I want to do my part. Thank you to all.

|Laurel||Sarah Alice Weed Smith|
Hello Debbie. I've been researching the Weed family, specifically Lillie Victoria Weed Griffin (1875-1909)buried at Coryell Baptist Church Cemetery, Coryell County, Texas. Her parents are Alexander Weed b: Feb. 1830 LA and Mary Lucinda Moor Weed b: May 18, 1840. They also had a daughter, Sarah A. Weed born about 1866 in Texas. 1870 Census DeWitt County lists her as being 4 years old. Siblings were: Irene b:1857-58, Melina V. b:1867-68 and Joseph A. b:1869-70. I have not been able to determine where any of these are buried. Are you related to Sarah Alice Weed Smith and could she be the daughter of Alexander and Mary Lucinda Moor Weed?

Did you send me an email on January 9th, about Otter Pond Cemetery? If so, I was not able to
open it. Please try to resend it. Here's another email address to try; email@example.com

From what I was told this picture was taken years ago and when a new owner bought the land had bulldozed the grave yard. But some say it was just neglect that led to the demise of the markers there is no stone now from what I understand.

I added the photo to Charles' wife's memorial page as requested.
Let me know if you need anything else at that cemetery...it's close to my workplace and I can run over any day.

I will email you what little information I have. I'll be glad to turn over management of the memorial to you.

When i am in the area of the cemetery i can take another look. I just looked at the photos that i took of the cemetery in 2014. I tried to make sure that all of the headstones were photographed. It is a strong possibility that the headstone you are interested in was not legible since i do not currently have it.

You mentioned that you were looking for his last remaining 4 children.
I am sure that his son, Dudley Chase Smith, b. Dec 22, 1797 is Dudley Smith in Bloomington, Indiana, grave #150925859. I am not connected to this family, just a researcher.
There is a book with a biographical sketch from Vermont states he married and lived in Bloomington, Indiana.
