Roscoe, Affie and Roy
Thank you for the trasfer of Roscoe, Affie and Roy. I'm going to work hard on finding out more about Roy, who was adopted at quite an advanced age. I'm pretty sure that he was one of Roscoe's Civil War Buddies' sons, so it could be a long and winding road.

Thanks for creating this for me to find. :)

Affie Lane 46982451
Being pre-emptive here as I've been having so much trouble with edits lately!

I just put in a name change for my 2nd Great Grand Uncle's wife. His name was Roscoe G. Lane, and I was able to locate their marriage license where her name is given as Ida Towle. Other information refers to her consistently as Allie or Affie, so I am confident that Ida Aphia was nicknamed Affie.

They married as soon as he was done with the Civil War in Dec 1865, then he was off to the California Gold Rush! :) The woman was obviously a saint...

If you'd like to transfer Roscoe and his wife, Affie, I would be happy to accept their stewardship. Thanks for doing what you do! :)

Martha Broughton/Marshall
I was looking for her marriage record to John D. Marshall, Joseph D. Marshall, born 1845 in Nova Scotia. They married July 21, 1869 in Salem, so I listed Joseph rather than John as her 2nd husband. Unfortunately, don't find his burial record.

RE: Margaret Harrington (#129790447)
I haven't actually looked at the mass index record so that is definitely helpful to me. My cousin Pat was the who found her on ancestry and actually traced her family back to Ireland. If her headstone says where she was born then I'll go with that.

I found her on ancestry.com. Also I have her listed as in having died in Somerville,MA. Somerville City Hall has her death certificate

RE: Jane Roundy
Thanks for finding what cemetery she was in.

Yes I love that chair, I've always liked the idea of a bench at the cemetery, but a comfy chair they really had it right :)
