Hello! I am Stacy Marie Skemp Hollmann, the only biological granddaughter of passionate genealogist, Nancy Sue Cowley Weise. I regret to inform you that my amazing grandmother passed away on 2/17/2016. I am learning my way through this amazing hobby as I continue her legacy and finish her book. Please be patient as I catch up and address her findagrave inbox!
This website has been her passion for many years and she was teaching me "the ropes" right up until her last words. Please do leave a few kind words for her!!! Find A Grave Memorial# 158315628.
Thank you so much in advance for your help. I am here to help you too!
BELOW IS MY GRANDMOTHER'S BIO...
Barron. WI is where I grew up. My husband, Jim, and I built a cabin in Springbrook in 1980 with the idea that we would make it our home after retirement. That's what we did and love this area. But we spent many of the summers in our camper at Washburn, WI on Lake Superior. I love touring on my 4-Wheeler there with my dog, PEPI, in her basket, loving the breeze in her face.
I'd like to do some photo work in Barron, Washburn, Sawyer, Ashland and Bayfield Counties.WI.
A BIG THANK YOU FOR THE SPOONER ADVOCATE, HAYWARD RECORD, BARRON NEWS-SHIELD AND KAREN DUFFY, for giving me many Older obituaries that I haven't had access to. Also Karen Hill for being helpful in the same area. In Barron County I am grateful for the http://ricelake.advantage-preservation.com/
If you click on my photos in Greenwood, Hayward, it may show you the BLOCK a person is in.
Ancestry.com is where I gather the info I can about a person. I feel that everyone has a history and I like to enter a little bio for people that have no obituary available. (BUT I ALSO WELCOME OBITUARIES YOU SEND MY WAY). I'm hoping to also help ancestors who read them.
Please ask for a transfer if you wish to add info that isn't available to me. You are welcome to use my photos for your family tree. I do appreciate any kind words if you wish to send any my way. NW
NOTE: IF YOU FIND A NUMBER BY A NAME, IT'S THE MEMORIAL NUMBER FOR THAT PERSON. THAT WAY I DON'T NEED TO BOTHER ANYONE UNNECESSARILY TO CONNECT ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER. YOU CAN JUST PUT THAT NUMBER ON THE FAG SEARCH PAGE.
Gerald & Mary Ann (Coon) Samuels Hello Stacy. I appreciate your contributions to Find A Grave in regards to my parents Gerald W. Samuels and Mary Ann (Coon) Samuels. I attempted to send you a private email but it was returned saying unable to send. My name is Peggy Samuels/England and I live in Las Vegas, NV. I am the family member who pick up our family history and continued with Ancestry, com. I wanted to make a correction regarding my parents place of burial as it is not at Wayside but rather at our home town in Calvary Cemetery, Chatfield, MN. The youngest daughter Patrice Samuels/Rice made all of the decision making and chose the location is which their ashes were to be buried. You may reach me via email at email@example.com. Maybe you could advise me on how to correct or edit errors I may find in the future. FYI Charles (Charlie) Richard Macak is another one as he is not buried at Wayside but the Bohemian Cemetery in Haugen, WI next to his parents. Thanks for your attention in this matter. Sincerely Peggy Samuels/England
User Name ~ So sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. But I have to say, it's inappropriate that you removed her name (and use yours) on this profile. Because, the result is that ALL the photos and memorials your grandmom placed, such as THESE, now say "Added by: Stacy Marie (Skemp) Hollmann" which we know is not true, and denies Nancy the credit. It's simply wrong.
RE: R. Arseneau I do manage this memorial but I am not sure what you are asking. Would you like for me to transfer management to you or are you asking for something else? If you are asking for transfer of management, please use the edit tab on the memorial page and then hit transfer management. That will give me information I need to make this happen for you. According to findagrave, you need to be directly related to the person you want to manage. Betty
An angel Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your wonderful grandmother. She was so lively and energetic and passionate about Find a Grave. She was my friend and partner in research. I am so sad to hear she is gone, but if there is to be a genealogical guardian angel, Nancy will be the one. Her journey is not over and her influence continues. Peace to you, Nancy.
Sorry for your loss Hi Stacy, I'm saddened to hear of your wonderful grandmother's passing. What a lovely granddaughter you are to take over her passion and fulfill her wishes by being the new custodian of all of the records she's created. May she rest in peace and may you find that her hobby has become your own.
