I was born in Dallas and raised in Arlington, Texas. We still live in Arlington. My Dad's folks are from Clarksville Texas (Raulston/Yarbrough) and my Mom's folks are from Winnsboro, Texas (Cox/Boles/Lindsey). My Dad's Mom's folks are from Honey Grove, Texas (Yarbrough). I have become interested in all of the branches of the family tree because I keep sprouting grandchildren. At first, I wanted the info for their baby books. There are so many branches, though, that it fascinates me. Just think, someday, my own line will be huge enough to fill a book. It's not hard to believe that we're all kin to Adam, Eve, and Noah!! This is fun. My son calls it my "Gothic" stage. ha!|
My sister's contributor page is here.

In reference to your msg: "If possible, and citing publication, please include longer obit plus picture."
It is a copyright offense to use photos from newspapers unless your related and/or the photo used was taken by you. I do not post newspaper/obit photos unless I knew the person personally. I ceased doing that a number of years back.
As for a longer obit ... I edit obits, but I use what's available. I post all obit info found ... short and long. If she has a longer version I'll look it up and add it as well.

Wow! It is hard to imagine Tony at 46. He was one of the best friends I've ever had and I still miss him everyday. Happy Birthday Tony! I love you man.
So it's the one with the caption under it reading, "Charles Henry Lindsey family, 1930s, near Winnsboro, Texas," is that right?
What has me confused is that your list of people in it seems to speak of two rows, but I see three. I want to be sure I'm understanding the list of people in the photo correctly, so that I label the people in the photo correctly.
If you can please help me be sure I'm identifying each of the people in the photo correctly, I'll be very happy to edit the caption and label the people in the photo.

|wdlindsy||Labeling Family Photo for Charles Henry Lindsey Family|
I think I can log in and add a caption for the photos of the family of Charles Henry Lindsey, if I use the edit function. When I look at his memorial page, I see I have added several photos there, and all except one has a caption for the photo.
The one without a caption is entitled "Charles Henry Lindsey family, 1930s, near Winnsboro, Texas." Is this the photo for which you'd like me to add a caption?
I'll gladly do that. My problem in doing so is that I'm not totally sure this is the photo your message to me is describing, and also the information you sent me from your aunt Rosemary doesn't seem to correspond to this photo, as well as I can determine.
So I just want to be sure I'm understanding correctly before I try to label the photo. If you can identify the particular photo for me and give me detailed instructions on what to say in the label, I'll gladly work on this for you.

|wdlindsy||RE: Charles Henry Lindsey Memorial|
Thank you for your message to me, GothicHobby. I'll be happy to see if I can label the photo at Uncle Charles Lindsey's memorial page. Thanks for sending me information to help me identify the people in the photo.
I knew Uncle Charlie's son Mark well, because, after his first wife died, he married Lovie Pierce, the mother of my aunt Natille Pierce Lindsey. Her first husband had also died. My father's brother Henry Carlton Lindsey married Natille Pierce, and Uncle Carlton and Aunt Natiille spent their final years in Atlanta, Texas, near Mark and Lovie. I would see Mark and Lovie when I visited Uncle Carlton and Aunt Natille, and found Cousin Mark such a nice old gentleman.
Mark and one of his sisters — it may have been Mary Bell — came sometimes to my Lindsey family reunion at Coushatta, Louisiana, where descendants of Alexander Cobb Lindsey gathered each year. Alec and Charlie were brothers, both sons of Mark Jefferson Lindsey and Mary Ann Harrison.
I believe that Uncle Charlie first went to Winnsboro as a young man to live with Mary Ann Harrison Lindsey's brother Richard Thomas Harrison, who had settled at or near Winnsboro. I'm glad to be in touch, and will see if I can add the labels you suggest I add to the photo.

Huddleston and Fogg
Huddleston Memorial # 25788913
I am delighted to locate these two headstones. I have searched for years. I thank you for this page. I am from Charlie Fogg's first wife, Bertha Medlin who is buried in Dimple somewhere. It would be nice to find her headstone.
thank you, Sue K

I am a long time friend of Vella's. Recently came across some of her old photos. I added a photo scan of Lewis Boles from 1918. Contact me please.

Thank you so much for taking the time to add all the edits I sent you to your lovely Memorial for Arch, the birth and death dates and places and his full middle name. You have done a splendid job on his Memorial.

Yes, thank goodness! I finally heard from her this morning. I was concerned because after all she is 84, and as you know, anything can happen. Thanks for correcting everything. I know from experience that things like this happen both ways. My Mom had a friend who had bought a burial site next to her deceased husband. Her headstone only had a birthdate on it so we assumed she was still alive, until we heard from her son that she had passed about a year ago. None of her kids saw to the detail of filling in the "blank".
Thanks again for all your help!

You have added this lady to your records for Johnson Station Cemetary as being deceased in 2008. I met her through ancestry.com in July 2012 and we have emailed back and forth since then. Do you have an update on this status?
