Brandenburg and Shomidie Hi Dylan, this is Susan again. I just now saw your name on my www.ancestry.com page and realize it is you who posted these photos. Please read my prior message as well. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org Hope to hear from you.
William & Clara Brandenburg Hello Dylan, I'm Susan Shepherd, my grandma Mary was the daughter of William & Clara. I remember her stories of them and Georgia. I also remember her talking about the Shomidies. I actually have this family photo of William, Clara, and their 6 kids. Grandma Mary was about 40 in this photo. I also visited Springfield with my Dad, Jack (Mary's son) in 1991 and visited the Brandenburg gravesite and have photos. I have old photos of grandma Mary that I should add here. Thank you for posting these photos of my Great-Grandparents. :-)
John Robert Goldesberry. National cemetery records lists him as John Robert Goldsberry, Sr. He is buried in Section I Site 1688. It also shows a son, Anthony Joseph Goldsberry B: 11/12/1970 D: 11/14/1970 buried in the same location. The spelling of his name will have been taken from the DD214 which was his official military record.
Roselawn Cem Hi Dylan - I added a memorial for Frank William Shomidie. He is buried in Roselawn. I saw his grave today and figured he is one of your family. There were no other Shomidies near his stone.
