I am decended from John Lewis who was one of the original settlers of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia and who founded the town of Staunton Virginia. My grandmother was Flora McElhaney. Flora was the daughter of James McElhaney, who was the son of Strother McElhaney, who married Mary Lewis, the daughter of Thomas Lewis, who was the son of John Lewis the immigrant from Donegal Ireland.
