After my father passed away in 2004, I found a passion for researching our family history. Its been the most enjoyable experience of my life. I love meeting new cousins online and sharing information. I am always willing to share any and all information I have gathered.
My fathers parents were both from Hancock County, Illinois, as well as each and every one of my direct lines for four more generations. I have spent a lot of time researching the people of that area.
I would like to express gratitude and love to those of you who have taken your precious time, money, and energy to take photos in the graveyards and those who post pics and info for others to view. What wonderful service you have provided for others.
Please keep in mind that my family tree work is subject to mistakes (some say it's the human in me). My feelings will not be hurt if you send me corrections. I'll always take the time to validate the info and I'll appreciate you for the time it takes to send corrections.
I always ask permissions to copy photos from findagrave. I will never use these photos for financial benefit. I consider myself ethical and mindful of others. I am forever grateful for the work others put in. I too, hope I can be of help to others.
RE: LANDON family Thanks for your kind words! I am glad I am able to help families connect the dots! (I am unrelated to the Landons surprisingly...I have a cousin who married into the Landon family though)
RE: Wm H Landon, # 80952359 I am not related. You may use the picture but (if you click on the picture) as the caption states I got it from this source, which you should acknowledge in a credit if you use it:
Curtiss-Wedge, F.; Jones, Geo. O. (ed.) / "History of Dunn County, Wisconsin" (1925) page 597
That is also the source of the biographical sketch copied on his memorial. You can read it for yourself and perhaps find other ancestors at this site:
RE: Caroline Munson Hi - thanks for getting back with me. I've not added a memorial for her since we don't know exactly where she's buried... so I just thought maybe we could at least note her as being a child in this family even without the other particulars. - Bob
Add Daughter Caroline to Abigail Munson Hello: Would you be so kind as to add to Abigail Whittaker Munson's Find A Grave listing her daughter, Caroline (1835-1864)? (Caroline is noted within the 1860 census at age 16 if you'd like to verify.) Thanks! Bob Bellamy (3G-grandson of Caroline)
RE: Bessie Mary Morton Everett Susie, I frequently brush the dirt from a marker, but I think I used better lighting for your mother and stepfather. Being a photographer, I will add an additional photo which feel is better. I think the family will appreciate it. Wendy
