Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in genealogy about 15 years ago, I have researched family lines of Pritchett, Stotts, Glasgo, Harrel, Harris, Stiles, McElroy, Milacek, Hambek, Bartek, and Policky.

Memorials I add come primarily from transcribing and photographing the cemetery and some from obituaries, funeral cards, death certificates and/or photographing headstones here and there. I have permission to post obituaries from the Oakland Independent; Oakland, NE to findagrave, if you are duplicating anything from my memorials to post on another online site (e.g., please seek permission from author/publisher. My tombstone photos can be used for whatever genealogical purpose that a descendent sees fit. A number of my photos were taken many years ago, if a better photo is added to a memorial, please let me know so I can delete mine and save space.

**Regarding edits to memorials I create: please do not send me edits without including the source, I will regretfully decline them. Send me an edit through the "suggest another correction" tab and give me the source. I know it takes more time but I would appreciate it.

Added 8/1/2014:
To those of you that take entire directories or the transcription work of other people and add it to findagrave with no dates and with no intention of making an actual memorial (like say, come spring time or during vacation week, when you can get out there etc, etc), you should be ashamed of yourselves and your large numbers are unimpressive. This is in fact against findagrave rules, why don't you read them. These "memorials" are not helpful and are actually quite worthless and the only way they will not be worthless is if somebody else goes out and does all the work for you. I am seeing this more and more and some of you have the gall to disable your messages and tell people you will "no longer transfer out of findagrave guidelines". Pleeeaaase! Do us all a favor and get off your chair or find a new hobby (oh, but first, please delete those memorials).

Great work on the Spencer cemeteries! Maybe you can tell me (as an out-of-towner), are the Spencer and Bohemian cemeteries totally separate or do they sit side-by-side? I was last there in 2002 but I only remember going to one cemetery.
And yes, I would be honored to maintain cousin Myrtle's memorial if you are interested in transferring.
Thanks again for all you do for the Find A Grave community!

Thank you so much for updating Myrtle's memorial. Not only did you make the links to her parents, but you added a nice little bio. Myrtle is my Dad's first cousin... we met her and Louis in 1983 when we attended a Johnson family reunion in White River, SD.
Thanks again,
Leslie Lewis

Hi Jeanne,

Sure you can use the picture as you please. If you desire I can email you a copy of the original which is better quality (around 1.2 meg VS the posted scaled picture around 300 kb). If so, email me at and I will respond with the copy:)

As I took the picture of their marker, it is my sole property. I now freely give it to you - it is your property now to use in any way you choose, with no credit needed.

RE: Lillian M Smith Eik
Thank you, Jeanne,

I have edit requests in for F.M. Smith and J. E. Smith to add their full names. Once those edits are complete I will add their names as the "adoptive parents".

Given what you told me I reviewed the Smiths buried in Bluff View. In the 1900 census for Frederick and Jennie Smith, it was enumerated that they had two children of their own, both of whom had died before the 1900 census. One child, John B Smith, showed up in the 1880 census and he is buried in Bluff View. I have requested a link for him to his parents. The other child, Frank M. Smith, died at 4 years of age, also buried at Bluff View. My source for gravestones there indicates both John and Frank are on the same rather large monument with footstones for Frederick and Jennie leading me to believe these are their two.

Thanks again for you help,
Carolyn Wickens
