Galena, Ill.—Mrs. Louis (Marie) Timp, 57, 9720 Route 20 W., Galena, died Sunday, May 2, 1993, at Mercy Health Center, St. Joseph’s Unit, Dubuque.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Galena, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where there will be a parish rosary at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Timp was a homemaker, and together with her husband they owned and operated Louie’s Trenching Service for the past 37 years.
She was born on Feb. 29, 1936, in Placid, Iowa, daughter of Michael L. And Julia H. (Donovan) McClain. She married Louis Timp on April 16, 1955, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Peosta, Iowa; he survives.
She graduated from the former Immaculate Conception High School, Dubuque, in 1953. She was a member of the Galena Hospital Auxiliary and the Ladies Elks.
Also surviving are two sons, Gregory Timp, of Pittstown, N.J., and Christopher G. Timp, of Galena; a daughter, Mrs. Hope Baluh, of Tahlequah, Okla.; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Jean Allen, Mrs. Margaret Larson, and Delores Pake, all of Dubuque, Grace McClain, of Pasadena, Texas, and Mrs. Marion Dayton, of Scales Mound; and a brother, Phillip McClain, of Peosta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Jeffrey John Timp.
