Bio Photo We live in Taunton Mass between Boston and Cape Cod. We are very eager to help anyone we can. Please leave a public message, it helps me keep track of who I helped and a quick reminder who to contact if I find more of the surname in the cemetery. We will travel to Rhode Island also. I am currently working on adding cemeterys here in Taunton and adding pictures.
See: Hathaway Burying Ground - Gilbert Burial Ground - Cooper Burying Ground - Sandy Hill Cemetery and the (NEW) Saint Francis Cemetery here. I just added the Old Episcopal Burying Ground too. Please use my photos anyway you can.
Family trees, personal pictures, etc. I am just happy to get the photos out for many generations to enjoy. The more people who see my Find A Grave photos, the happier I am. Some day, I will be one of them.

John Andrews & Alice Shaw
Hi Chris & Susanne,

I am belatedly writing to ask your permission to use the photos you took of the markers for my 6th great grand uncle John Andrews (14606302) and his wife Alice Shaw (14606396) in my family tree. I had uploaded them from another family tree a couple of years ago before I became a member of and discovered that I needed to get the photographer's permission before using them. Please forgive me. I will give you proper credit in the caption for taking the photos or I will delete them from my tree depending upon whether or not you give me permission.

At any rate, thanks for taking the photos. They are great!

Gilbert stone
How did you do all the small print. Did you use chalk or is there a product I don't know about. Most of the old cemeteries on private farms here in central KY are very hard to read. One winter I did one at the Horse Park (there are two small private cemeteries on the Horse Park property), and the manager of the park was with me. The stone was illegible on both sides, so I just picked up snow, smeared it on and wiped it down, and miracle, it was legible. He was stunned, said they never knew what the stone said.
So try snow.
Don't know why people get so bent out of shape when you put something on the stone to read it, as it will disappear in the near future anyway if not recorded. If you are very careful and use water to clean it off it should be find. Scrapping the moss off is the worst part here.
Thanks, Julia

Samuel Gilbert
Saw the three photos of the stone of Samuel Gilbert, Gilbert Burying Ground.
How did you manage to make it legible. Was the white chalk or another material. Great job, must have taken hours to do this.

RE: St Francis Directory
Great! Thanks for the info! I realize now that I was actually talking about the Oakland Cemetery, which is right next door. But I am sure that I still need to contact the same person. I will keep you posted on our progress.

St Francis Directory
Have you spoken with the office of the cemetery to get the names you have added for the old St. Francis Cemetery, or are you adding them by sight? My mom believes her uncles are buried there with no markers, and I am planning to check with the office to confirm this, but I thought I would ask you first to see if your list was supplied by the office. They are Franklin Wilbur and Edward Wilbur. Thanks!

Hi Chris and Susanne...
I was able to find this stone, albeit in several pieces. It was right in the correct spot next to Capt. James. I added the photo.

RE: Clara Yahn 84410428
I did find Louis E. Yahn and Clara in the 1900 census in Jeannette, Pa she is liste as having 14 children only 3 living. Both born in Germany

Jeannette is not far from Youngwood.

Also I sorry I don't know who is around Clara's tombstone.
