Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, I started doing my genealogy for the Solem family and love it. I have found ancestors in Norway back to 1506 and living relatives in Norway. This is a great way to find where you came from and also find descendants. I live on the original Solem farm which we are getting our 125th certificate. Need help email me.

RE: The Houck's

You're very welcome for the Houck marker pictures!

No, I don't know Mary Phea - she has been my nemesis since I started doing find a grave because she did a lot of the cemeteries near me and won't link or add pertinent information such as date of death if she made the memorial before the person died. But bless her, she did do a lot of memorials for find a grave. Personally I think the maintenance on the memorials is as important as the initial memorial.

Best wishes,
High Plains :)

RE: Dayton's
My wife's family are Germans from Russia and settled in SD. We visit her relatives all over SD and trace her family where possible and take pictures of cemeteries.

RE: Meckling Cemetery
I photographed that cemetery in 2009 and don't show any stones for Blair's. Could have easily missed them, but it is not a large cemetery.

RE: Gustave Peterson
Now that I've looked at this further, there were children with this couple. This isn't the same person.Sorry for any inconvenience, thanks for your help.

RE: Gustave Peterson
To my knowledge he wasn't married, or at least not at age 43 in 1918.

He was a shoemaker, worked for his brother Charles in Milbank, SD. From the info I have come across he lived with his brother, then his grand uncle. I don't have much U.S. info to go on except census records & his WWI draft card.

RE: Memorial# 59061481
I've been looking for a Peterson born August Magnus, went by Magne in census records & Gustave A on WWI registration card. He was born Dec 12, 1874, a few days shy of this Gustave. I know that my great grandpa's birthdate in his obit was 9 months off from his Swedish birth record.

I'm curious as to the source of your specific dates, as this could be the end of a long search if you by chance have additional info.

Thanks so much!
