Bio Photo Hi, I started doing my genealogy for the Solem family and love it. I have found ancestors in Norway back to 1506 and living relatives in Norway. This is a great way to find where you came from and also find descendants. I live on the original Solem farm which we are getting our 125th certificate. Need help email me.

RE: LeRoy Bierle
Hi Kathy
Sorry for the delay. The only Bierle I show in Clay County (with a stone) is James Bierle in St. Agnes Fairview.

It's entirely possible that the marker there is South Dakota is actually a cenotaph also.

If it's not the same person, I find it quite odd that they have the same death dates.

I can't even begin to explain that many was that there are mistakes in death records, cemetery records, and tombstones. Heck even DOB in the military records is usually off by 1-3 years.. Back in the day, the men would lie about their age in order to enlist. I can't count how many times the DOB doesn't match what the DOB that the military will have.

The other Andrew Aase is Sr. He died in 1931. His birth and death dates do not match. He is in Iowa and not South Dakota.

Not to mention that Bertine's middle name is Marie and not Josephine.

RE: Martin Ustad
I found the same thing when I did a complete review of out local cemetery. Many of the older listings were spelled phonetically on paper and sometimes on the stone. Hanson/Hansen-Carl/Karl and so on. I am listing this cemetery on the state site and adding any to Find A Grave that are missing,
