I have no problem with transfers; so don't be afraid to ask. I am a "people person", so I enjoy adding memorials, to record not only the location of a person, but also their existance and anything else I can about that person.|
This photo on my profile was taken at the 40' Hole in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge on a beautiful day.

I went back to the cemetery today and was told that he is buried in a single grave, and there is no stone. I sent a correction on his name and birth and death dates. I added a picture of the area. I thought he might be buried with this son and wife, but that was not the case.
|Karen ||RE: Baby Carson|
In answer to your comment that you bet you were not far off, please note you were 27 years off.
In answer to your comment that one date on a headstone means a baby was stillborn, you are incorrect and that can only be determined by the medical info on the death cert. This baby was not stillborn, it lived several hours. The info is readily available at familysearch.org If you research enough infant death certificates you will find that some of these poor babies (and even young children) are not named on a headstone but will say "infant" or "Son" and one date...there is no headstone photo on this memorial as of the date of your edit. All info was taken off the death cert. by another member, source quoted.
Again, I'm sure you meant well but it is never okay to just assume. That is how inaccuracies get spread across various sites. There is a huge difference (27 years) in the edit you sent and the actual date which could prevent this infant from being found by a family member or a duplicate memorial with wrong dates made for this same person. For the respect of the baby, (or any deceased) we should be making factual memorials. We all make mistakes, but guessing really can discredit this whole site.

Sorry, I didn't finish the sentence in the first paragraph
Acknowledging the source of the obituary is not the same as having the right to republish.

If Find A Grave wants to violate copyright by fully copying and pasting an obituary into a bio, that is certainly their right as it is their liability if there is ever an objection. As I user, I am bound by their Terms of Service: "By submitting material to the Websites, you represent that you have the right to do so, and that you have obtained any third party consents where required (e.g., under data protection or intellectual property laws)..." Did you read the links I supplied yesterday? The one ending with 103 includes these statements.
"ONLY post photos for which YOU hold the copyright (meaning photos you took)!!!"
"No obituary photographs."
"No photos taken from any website, including Find A Grave!!!"
I am asking you to remove those obituary photos unless you took them yourself.

Do you have permission to post the obituaries and photos like Find A Grave requires?
If you have permission, please submit the permission on these memorials: Roger Wendell, Margaret Barela and Bernardino Duran. If you don't have permission, I won't be able to add the obits. Also, if you don't have permission to repost the photos, I'm asking you to remove them from all of the memorials I manage.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Re: your reply "RE: Baby Carson
No, just my preference to see a date rather than leaving blank. Some one may be more inclined to correct."
Am I reading this incorrectly? Are you saying you arbitrarily picked a date and places for this memorial and had no data to back it up? If I read this correctly please note that Find a Grave strives for accurate memorials and the gentleman who volunteers at this cemetery found the info on-line - you were off by 28 years! This could potentially mean that a relative would not find the memorial in the future. In future PLEASE don't just guess. Please provide accurate sources. I'm sure you meant well but it destroys the integrity of the memorial.

The birth/date year for Baby Carson in Lakeview is 1958. I have the details from the death certificate and will submit them via edits.

You recently sent an edit for baby Carson. Would you please provide your source for this info? Hopefully there is a death cert. with more info on it.

Not my line. My memorial was created from the cemetery book. If you want the two merged, contact the second contributor or send a message to findagrave. My memorial was created first. Thanks. Mary
