MY DAD: Dwight Jay Schaff

GRANDMA: Evelyn

MY DOGGIE: K.C.

A SPECIAL ANGEL: Tammy

FRIEND: Joshua Roat

I have been doing genealogy for a few years now. My relatives were from England, Germany, Poland, France, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Michigan. I have been to many Michigan cemeteries and have also traveled to the Rochester, NY area.

My 5th Great Grandpa Hezekiah Boughton donated part of his property for a cemetery which bears the name BOUGHTON HILL CEMETERY in Victor, NY. The town of Victor, NY was also named after one of my relatives, Claudius Victor Boughton.

My 10th Great Grandmother was Mary Dyer, born Marie Barrett (c. 1611 1 June 1660), was an English and colonial American Puritan turned Quaker who was hanged in Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony, for repeatedly defying a Puritan law banning Quakers from the colony. She is one of the four executed Quakers known as the Boston martyrs.

Some surnames I am related to are: BOUTON, BOUGHTON, PHELPS, DYER, SOVA, SWADLING, HADDEN, SCHAFF, GRAMACKI, MALECKI, REZLER and BIELINSKI.

My husband is related to OEHRING, WEISBARTH, HERBST, RESCHKE, YOCKEY, TAFEL, MCKAY, GRAHAM, MCEWEN and GRANGER.

Audrey,
We were in contact back in 2010 regarding a marriage date for Harold and Violet Rodenhauser.
At that time I did not have any information but I have just recently obtained a date and place. Maybe in the meantime you have also found this information. At the time I told you that I would contact you if I found anything regarding their marriage information. So if you don't have it here it is.

RE: MacEwen/McEwen
Hi Audrey, I have been researching memorial pages that were created by Pat Kaszubowski-Thomas from cemetery records at Evergreen Cemetery. She created pages for Archie McEwen and Emma McEwen based on their listing with only the year of death. During my research I came across your pages for them with their first names and the "a" added to the last name. None of the records I was able to locate had to "a" in the their surname. The notes on their pages don't include the "a" and the only page with a picture of a marker I saw was Archie's Great Grandparents with does not have the "a" in the last name as well. With all that I thought the "a" didn't belong. Sorry, didn't realize you had the family inside info on the spelling. Not related that I know of, but it took me 2 years to figure out that Pat & I are distant cousins. She had created pages for over 20 of my ancestors in Evergreen, most with the surname Trelfa. I live in Taylor, Michigan (south of Detroit) about a 4 hour drive from Alpena. Have a good holiday, Jim

Also, I noticed you entered in the cause of her and her husband's, Fredrick Evans, death. Out of curiosity where did you find this info? They are my grandparents.

Re: Carl Joseph Bernhart- 38475872
Please note. The Bio info you have for Carl Joseph Bernhart is incorrect.
Arthur and Linda are full siblings, NOT 1/2 siblings. All six children were born to the same parents.

Carl's daughter, Wendy Ann Bernhart was born in 1939 and is a 1960 graduate of Univ. of Michigan School of Nursing.

Thanks

RE: Louisa Hicks
Louisa maiden name was Severy. While researching her husband,John Hicks. He died in the Civil War. Louisa had to prove that she was married to John Hicks, so she could get a pension for her son John H Hicks. The name was spelled different ways. The family now spell their name Sevrey.
