My genealogy journey began with a story my grandma Florene Morrow Wells told me not long before she passed away of a small black child, Frank Wells, who was a slave in Texas, being raised by my great-great-grandpa, here in Appanoose County, Iowa. I hadn't heard of Frank until that day, however, since then I found he's buried close to my home & was a well respected citizen of my small town. I research my family, my half-brother's (I never refer to him as such) family, and my husband's family. I enjoy taking my children to the cemetery, hunting for headstones.

The majority of memorials I post are individuals I have in my trees. However, I do try to find and fill any photo requests while I'm doing my own research. I have a huge collection of obituaries, funeral flyers, and death notices from newspapers I have bought at auctions or inherited. Occasionally, I need to look for someone in my resources so I check to see if their Find a Grace memorial has all the information given in the obit while I'm at it. If you get edit suggestions from me it's because I have a source. I'm always happy to share!

If I have management of someone that isn't one of my close relatives and the memorial would mean more for you to have it, I'm happy to transfer the management.
