Bio and Links
Bio Photo My totem, Percival Fugi, who left us much too soon. His heart was true and strong and he held us in the "palm of his paws".

If I have created a memorial and I am not directly related to that person, I will gladly transfer it to a family member within the fourth generation FAG recommendation. While it gives me great pleasure to place a memorial into the hands of their family, I do reserve the right to not transfer individuals connected to my family.

Please include a separate edit link for each memorial you are requesting transferred, as well as your Find A Grave ID number, it is such a help to not have to search for each individual and it ensures each transfer is correct...assuming the memorial you requested is correct.

Plus, I am having health issues at the moment and my time on the computer is somewhat limited, so please bear that in mind.

Like many of you, I've added quite a bit of data to my family tree through the generosity of Find A Grave contributors and I firmly believe in Paying It Forward.

Sadly, some older cemeteries have been lost and with that loss has come graves that can no longer be identified. Many other gravestones are eroded by the passage of time and are no longer legible. Other cemeteries have been vandalized and severe storms and tornados have done their damage. These are just a few of the problems that beset our cemeteries, so thanks to all you Find A Gravers who are helping with their preservation.

We can add or correct a number of these omissions by simply logging on to Find A Grave and, as has been so aptly said by others, Paying It Forward.

Regarding transfers, Find A Grave recommends the following:

"...Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren..."

Transfers will be made within these FAG policy guidelines.

RE: Mary McCracken
Don't know when Mary actually arrived in Missouri. Perhaps Nimrod, Anson, the Kimsley's and Mary all came to Missouri at the same time? I would think they likely came to western Missouri on a steamboat from Nashville to St Louis and then up the Missouri River to Westport Landing. What is proven is Mary was in Tennessee by 1844,at age 85, where she appeared in the Circuit Court at Lawrence County,Tennessee on June 4th. I recall coming across a document that stated Mary was born in Pennsylvania.

RE: Mary McCracken
I have the year they left for Oregon but would need to find it. As I recall Mary returned to TN after Anson left MO for the Peter Colony in TX which as I recall was in 1846.

Maryanne,

I am so thrilled that I found the pictures of the Williams cemetery. I am a great great grandson of William Love and Elizabeth Blair. She died shortly after giving birth to my great grandmother Amelia Elizabeth Love Wood. I have been trying to find information on the graves all these years but didn't know who to contact. I knew that the farm had passed from the Blairs to the Williams family because of a letter that my aunt had from a member of the Williams family. But I didn't know how to get permission to visit there. You might know that William Love remarried and lived in Chriesman and had sons by his 2nd wife. There is a marker for him at the Chriesman cemetery next to wife #2 and many people may assume that he's buried there.

Elizabeth is your great aunt? Are you from the Blair family?

I read your message to your 5th great grandfather, Jonas Little. Do you know anything about his parents or siblings?
His brother Joseph is my 4th great grandfather and we're trying to trace him back to Scotland.
I'd appreciate any information you can give me.
Thanks...Beatrice Bennett
