My totem, Percival Fugi, who left us much too soon. His heart was true and strong and he held us in the "palm of his paws".|
If I have created a memorial and I am not directly related to that person, I will gladly transfer it to a family member within the fourth generation FAG recommendation. While it gives me great pleasure to place a memorial into the hands of their family, I do reserve the right to not transfer individuals connected to my family.
Please include a separate edit link for each memorial you are requesting transferred, as well as your Find A Grave ID number, it is such a help to not have to search for each individual and it ensures each transfer is correct...assuming the memorial you requested is correct.
Plus, I am having health issues at the moment and my time on the computer is somewhat limited, so please bear that in mind.
Like many of you, I've added quite a bit of data to my family tree through the generosity of Find A Grave contributors and I firmly believe in Paying It Forward.
Sadly, some older cemeteries have been lost and with that loss has come graves that can no longer be identified. Many other gravestones are eroded by the passage of time and are no longer legible. Other cemeteries have been vandalized and severe storms and tornados have done their damage. These are just a few of the problems that beset our cemeteries, so thanks to all you Find A Gravers who are helping with their preservation.
We can add or correct a number of these omissions by simply logging on to Find A Grave and, as has been so aptly said by others, Paying It Forward.
Regarding transfers, Find A Grave recommends the following:
"...Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren..."
Transfers will be made within these FAG policy guidelines.

Cleo Jones buried at Blair Cemetery in Westpoint, TN. Is this Cleo Jones (Cleo Andrews, Jones) former wife of William Leon Jones? Her parents would be Earl 'Early' Andrews, Sr and Bessie Pearl Bonds, Andrews. Please confirm if this family is the correct family connection. Thank you, Sheilah Andrews

Hi Maryanne, Do you know if this is Henry T. J. Corbin who was briefly married to widow Rosa Yielding Newell of Hackleburg, AL., before death? His memorial #29195633. Thank you!
|Julie (Longfield) Davis||RE: Hattie M. Nelson|
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly Maryanne,
I agree, I think they are one in the same. I believe they have the wrong birth date listed for her in Shaw. I have sent an edit for correction on that. The only thing I can guess is perhaps Hughes was the intended burial, but the family placed her in Shaw instead. If it wasn't for the headstone, I would say she should be in Hughes. Being that the contributor was also the headstone photographer, I think perhaps she is in Shaw after all. I have put corrections and edits on both memorials, I say leave them both up. Eventually with my edits they will add both pages to her spouse, Ole. I think it was your memorial that I put the edit in to connect James, Ole and Hettie's other son.

Upon making some edits on Hattie I came across another page for her. Find A Grave Memorial# 17644884. Now I am confused. Your obit clearly says Hattie is buried at Hughes Cemetery, while the other page has a photo of the tombstone in Shaw Cemetery. I'm just wanting to be sure I have the right Hattie before I make an edit to her son James Nelson.

You are more than welcome.
I'm sorry we were not able to find your other photo requests. Perhaps someone with knowledge of this cemetery could help.
