I live in Tucson, AZ and am willing to travel to any cemetery in this area, as well as Phoenix, Benson, Bisbee, etc. Let me know where your interest is, and I can decide, based on gas prices! If I can go or not!|
I'm a nurse, my father Loren Riggs (Ypsilanti, MI) died when I was very young, and I began genealogy as a way to "find family".
I am married with 4 children, and 4 grandchildren.
If you are a family member of someone I have posted, I am happy to transfer to you. (Unless they are also mine). My trees include Riggs, Mackinder,Cantrell,Coykendall,Force,Fredona, Thiele and Barbino
I can't do the "heat" in Arizona very well, but will try my best to fulfil requests, even in the summer.
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

I just uploaded pics of Dunham Riggs and his wife, Julia to their respective FINDAGRAVE page. Enjoy!
|Barb in Michigan||Dunham Riggs & wife|
I've rescued a couple of pics of Dunham Riggs and his wife and am trying to find a family member that would like to have them. Can you help?
|Robert Blackburn||Floyd & Leona Benton (Evergreen Memorial Park)|
Hi Lori, thanks for creating memorials for my grand uncle Floyd Benton and his wife Leona. They were from Michigan also and moved West while I was still young. They had no children so sadly they missed the joy you and I find in our grandchildren. I added a couple of photos of Floyd and will search for one of Leona. Kind regards....

|J O Pierce||Re: Sarah Bradford # 29804386|
I see you have created a memorial for my great grandmother Sarah Bradford #29804386 and great aunt Narcissa Hartman # 29804397. Would it be possible to have you transfer me the sites as I have more information to add to their sites and links to family.
I really appreciate your creating and taking the photo of their gravestone. Thanks so much for your endeavors and time.
Hi Lori, I see that you photographed the headstone for Myrtle Jones Stevens in Ingham,Michigan. Do you mind linking her with her parents here at Find.a.Grave: Minerva Druck Jones #66661328 and Jonathan J. Jones #81056258? I have been working on this family tree as my Great-Grandmother, Elizabeth Isabel Crawford married Myrtle's brother, Dallis. Are you also a descendant of this family? Thanks, Helen of Tennessee

I found my aunt and her husband in your cemetery listings. Are they part of your family? If so, guess we are related. If not, would you be willing to transfer them to me?
The records are: South Lawn Cemetery, Tucson
Lena Hill #32814942
Louis D. Hill, Sr #32814905
My name is Pat Hembling and member # 48107992.
I'm new at this and not sure how it all works...

|Linda ||RE: Citizens Cemetery|
Nobody seems to know where it once was or when it was used, all agree it is definitely defunct!
I called Evergreen because the receptionist is extremely knowledgeable as well as very interested in history and where the bodies are buried! She had never heard of it. Alas!
Thanks for responding; I appreciate it.

|Linda ||Citizen's Cemetery, Tucson|
Do you know where Citizen's Cemetery is in Tucson? Somebody has requested a photo from this cemetery and for the life of me I can't find it.
I do know it is defunct, but it doesn't show up on any AZ cemetery project list, AZ historic cemeteries, etc. I can find Citizen Cemetery in Prescott, Flagstaff, Maricopa County, etc., but not Tucson.
Now my curiosity is really up! Let me know. Hope you are keeping cool and the rain has found your neighborhood.

|Linda ||RE: All Faiths Memorial Park|
At the risk of beating a dead horse to death, I took another look at the All Faiths Memorial page and one of the pictures shows a sign with All Faiths Memorial Park and underneath it Desert Vista Cemetery, Shaarei Shalom Cemetery and Our Lady of Something Cemetery and arrows pointing the direction to each cemetery. "Cemetery" is used w/each name.
I don't know what to do now. I'm still leaning towards posting under All Faiths since that is what is used in the obituaries and if a relative has an obit, that is what they will search on. That said, a relative will probably conduct a search based on the relatives name and not the cemetery.
Alas! What is a contributor suppose to do!? What are your thoughts?
