I have been working on my family history for 30 years. Four years ago a friend of mine and I decided it would be fun to physically read the tombstones in the local cemeteries. After the readings we add the information to FindAGrave and local libraries. We trust that this will help others with their searches. If you wish to make additions to entries I have made I will be happy to update them with your information. Good luck in your searches.|

Hello Penny, I am trying to research the Port Mitchell Cemetery and I see you have a few links on here (39459793). Have you ever found the old Port Mitchell Cemetery by any chance? An older family member of mine remembers seeing the headstones back in the early 60's, but couldn't point me quite to the right area.

Hey Penny; finally able to get to my research. Yes, I see that child in my records. Only the creator of the existing memorial can 'link' it to mine. I could create another memorial for Marion but Find A Grave doesn't like duplicates. If you like, you could create the duplicate and attach it to his/my parents memorial.

Just a slight correction on this mem:
Find A Grave Memorial# 70308712
The stone reads: "Son of J and A" not "wife"

Hi Penny: Have been working on family history. I use Findagrave a lot. Thank you so much for all the important work you do. You have a typo on the birthdate of Arla. It should be 1889 not 1899. The year 1889 is on the headstone. Thank you so much. Arla was the first husband of my great Aunt Florence Lorena Kester. They were only married a year. Have a great day.

Penny, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org as I have two links that I would like to send you. One for Norman S and the other for David H. Still looking for Mary Jane. Thanks,
Thank you so much for the transfer! My dad told me about her parents a long time ago... Dad knew so much of our family, and most of them did even know him... But his dad (my grandpa) talked to him about the family and dad passed it all down to us.
Because of dad, I started looking for everyone and have been doing it for over 20 years!!

Hi Penny, thank you so much for posting gravestones from Fort Wayne, Indiana! They are so helpful. Just wondering where you got the information that John Greer (1826-1907) was born in Philadelphia? I'd love to confirm this as it would really help us extend the Greer line if we knew for sure where he was born.
Penny, Thank you so much for the transfer of George. I appreciate it so very much.
