Bio

I am 86 years old and the widow of Pfc. Elmer O. Hill who died of his wounds received fighting for our country in Germany, 1944. I Iive in Gainesville, GA with my daughter. I have a daughter and a son by my second marriage. I have two grandaughters and two grandsons; two great grandaughtersw and two great grandsons. and we are expecting another great granchild in February 2011. I still hold my beloved Tony Hill forever in my heart. I was born in Sandy Lake, PA on May 17, 1924. My mother died in June, 1926 when I was two years old. Her passing left nine children motherless. I was raised by my father's sister, Virginia B. Smith, and we lived in Garden City, Michigan. I left there in 1945 and moved to Detroit, Michigan My hobbies are sewing, cooking, reading nonfiction books, and beading. I make necklaces, bracelets and earrings. I still drive my car but I only drive locally not on long trips like I did in the past. I have travelled in 45 of the 50 states and seven foreign countries. Despite much sorrow in my life God has blessed me and never gave me a cross heavier than I could bear.
