I have always lived in Oregon. Born in Salem, grew up in Portland, studied at and received my B.A. in Geography from the University of Oregon in Eugene. I also lived in the beautiful city of Ashland for a few years.

Family history, and genealogy in general, has been a long time interest. My grandfather shared these interests with me when I was young, especially as they related to his Southern heritage, the Confederacy, and the Civil War.

Traveling to cemeteries to document and photograph memorials is a meaningful pastime for me. I like being outside and in the elements and I hope that somebody might find a relative through my efforts.
