I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this site. Your information and photographs make these memorials wonderful tributes!
All memorials were created from cemetery records, which only include the name, year of death, and burial location. Any other data on the memorials was submitted by other users. I do not have any additional information on any memorials.
I accept most edits within 24 hours and generally update bios and process transfers within 2-3 weeks.
Transfers: Please ask for transfers of your family members. Submit transfer requests through the Edit tab of the memorial. Your relationship to the individual is required. No bulk surname requests.
Edits: Please submit edits using the Edit tab of the memorial, no wall posts. Cemetery records do contain errors. Please send edits to correct any problems you find. Sources may be requested.
Duplicates: Duplicates are strictly against FindAGrave policy. Any dups I have created are unintentional. Cemetery records contain inaccuracies which often cause dups. Please send polite notification with the original memorial number and they will be promptly deleted.
Photos: I am happy to share my photographs without copyright, as long as credit is given. __________________________________________________
#122262300 This is Charles Cox, my gr gr grandfather. Will you please transfer management to me? Also, I do have his death certificate. But that is all we know, that he was buried in Allegheny Cemetery. What source did you transcribe this info? I want to see if any of his relatives are buried nearby. Thanks! firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm a Van Cleave too. Same family. In fact I've researched the family for about 50 years and written several volumes on the entire family: Van Cleve/Cleave/Cleef/Clief/Cleaf.
I wish I had better photos. Unfortunately I don't. These you see were sent to me by the Washington County, Ohio County Clerk back in the 1980's. I was doing research on the family and he felt these were better with me than kept among his records, which would probably be tossed some day. He informed me at the time that the property owner at that time could care less about the graves and allowed his cows to tear down the fencing and destroy the headstones...and no one could persuade him to safe-guard the graves. I have no idea if they exist now or not. So we have what we have and probably lucky to have them at all. I do have what is written on each headstone. I'll scan and send it to you tomorrow. Send me your email and I'll send it directly.
Also, your Richard's original name is Dirk...Dutch for Richard.
