I have finished transcribing the Priest's interment records 1864-1943 and creating memorials for Calvary Cemetery, Ramsey Co., Minnesota . This is an important record as many of the early decedents (especially children) do not have death certificates or tombstones. Please feel free to edit or ask for transfers. Burials which were not Catholic were recorded here in the first few years but mostly are not in these records (sometime before about 1880 nonCatholic burials cease). Please use creativity when searching, as these records are in English, Latin, and German. Some of the names were spelled variously even within the same record. These records were made by German speaking priests. Other records likely exist from other Priests, non-Catholic burials, etc. and are not in my possession.

It's come to my attention that a number of the interments listed in the Calvary records were not noted to be elsewhere but are- Resurrection Cemetery, St. Mary's etc. If there is a conflict, it might be because the priests did not make a notation, but the burial was actually not at Calvary. Please consider this and merge accordingly. Some years the records are very good but in the early 1930's they are not and this seems to be when the errors occur.

A lot of people email me to ask about these priests interment records. They come from the Church of the Assumption microfilm which used to be available for purchase from the Diocese of St. Paul. Unfortunately, the Diocese no longer allows anyone to view them. For $30 you can request three documents. https://www.archspm.org/archives-and-records/ Because I think this is tragic, I have spent years transcribing and uploading the information to findagrave. All legible genealogical information in the documents has been transcribed. These records do not come from a database and are not available elsewhere except through the Diocese of St. Paul.
