Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Butte, MT where the history is as rich as the copper, gold, silver and zinc that was mined from these mountains. The ethnic heritage brought by the miners and their families has created a genealogical treasure equal to the "Richest Hill on Earth".

If I have added one of your family members, please feel free to request a transfer of management. All photos posted are for the requesting person's genealogical use public or private.

Nelia Bray
Hi Patricia, Would you like me to transfer Nelia to you? I'm not related but I have been doing some research on the Baumann's and Rowling's, in Butte. Just let me know, okay?

Julia Dwyer
I removed the headstone photo request for Julia Dwyer's (St. Patrick's Cemetery) memorial and added a note to her memorial saying that no burial record or marker could be found in 2014, and that it is possible she is buried elsewhere.

Fischer memorials
I also added memorials for Frank C Fischer and Mary Fischer. Mary Fischer's maiden name was Sullivan. I wasn't sure how to read the plot information for their graves, so I left it blank for now.

Sullivan graves
Thank you for the chart of the burials in the Sullivan plot. I was able to add two new find-a-grave memorials to St. Patrick's Cemetery, for Marian Sullivan (1905-1911) and for John J Sullivan (1876-1931.)

Find A Grave Memorial# 133293534 that you transferred to me is a duplicate for a memorial that was already there, Find A Grave Memorial# 118563418. Would you like to add your gravestone photo to the memorial that was already there? Should I go ahead and delete the duplicate?
Thanks for letting me know.

Julia Dwyer headstone photo request
Thanks for letting me know that Julia Dwyer is not listed in the records for St Patrick's or Holy Cross. She died so long ago, 27 Sep 1903, that I wondered whether there would be good records or a headstone. I do have the copy of the article from the old Anaconda Standard in Butte from 29 Sep 1903 that confirms her death date. I suppose it is possible she is buried at another Butte cemetery or perhaps even back in Michigan, where I believe that her husband John had died some years earlier. I had even wondered whether she might be buried in the same plot as one of her sisters Mary (Kelly) Sullivan or Catherine (Kelly) Holland whose headstone photos you took this week. Thanks for checking the Butte records, I appreciate your efforts.

Holland and Sullivan photos
Thank you very much for taking the beautiful, clear headstone photos for the memorials for Jeremiah and Catherine Holland and for James and Mary Sullivan. And also for Patrick J Sullivan. Catherine and Mary were sisters of my great grandmother and we appreciate having the photos!

Phillip Sturtridge
Hi again,
I may be wrong about Phillip. Clearly you have seen what I have not on the monument. In our family records Phillip Sturtridge was the youngest of 12 children, born in 1861 and died in a mining accident in Butte and buried with his family. Now I'm confused. I will look into this some more. is there more information than is seen on the monument? Thanks, Pat
