Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Butte, MT where the history is as rich as the copper, gold, silver and zinc that was mined from these mountains. The ethnic heritage brought by the miners, laborers, business men and their families has created a genealogical treasure equal to the "Richest Hill on Earth".

If I have added one of your family members, please feel free to request a transfer of management. All photos posted are for the requesting person's genealogical use public or private. No credit is required.

RE: Hancock GPS
Thanks, but you don't need to do that. Findagrave prefers to not add that type of info. It's not a big deal..go ahead and remove it. Thanks

No need to send an edit for GPS.. it stays behind on the memorial, when you remove the pic..

Yes there was a particular reason why I added the additional tombstone picture.. When I added it, it also added the GPS coordinates to the memorial. I am truly sorry to have offended you. I have deleted the pic.

RE: John Kotze
I emmailed you, not sure what transferring John to us means, and yes I have an account, and my husband, myself and daughter have all had DNA done.
Thank you for all you've done, you have no idea how happy this will make my mother in law, John Kotze's grand-daughter will be. His daughter Helen did die a few years ago.

Not sure my message got through, but how exciting and what a blessing you are to have gotten these photos so fast. As for John, we thought he had been buried in a mass grave since there were so many mining deaths at the time. After John's death, Lena moved back to Colorado to be with her family. She had 2 small girls at the time, my grandmother Helen, and her sister Irene, who was only about 6 months old. She remarried Joe Bizer who adopted the girls. They are an old mining family from Telluride and they mined the Tomboy mine there. Thank you again.

RE: John Kotze
Hello Pat,

Thank you so much for adding that of little Anna. I see you may have found John, great grandfather. He died when my grandmother was very young, about 3 years old, and Lena moved back to Colorado to be with her family where she met her 3rd husband Joe Bizer, who adopted my grandmother Helen, who became Helen Kotze Bizer. They worked the mines in Telluride and lived on the mountain working the Tomboy mine. :)

RE: Anna Kotze - Holy Cross Cemetery - Butte, MT
Thank you so much. Yes, I believe there is a John Kotze there as well. He is my husband's great grandfather who died in a mining accident. I do believe Joe is his brother.

I don't need the originals. Your posted copies are excellent.
