Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Butte, MT where the history is as rich as the copper, gold, silver and zinc that was mined from these mountains. The ethnic heritage brought by the miners, laborers, business men and their families has created a genealogical treasure equal to the "Richest Hill on Earth".

RE: Patrick Hughes - Holy Cross Cemetery - Butte, MT
I kind of expected that. He did have sisters in NY, only 1 was mentioned in the newspaper as a next of kin & there did not seem to be any family at his funeral. for some reason his nieces & nephews in Ireland believed he died in a fire in Salt Lake City. I have been looking for him for several yrs! It was only after getting his father's (my great grandfather) note book that I got the Butte link & finally found him. Anything else you can find on him would be much appreciated.

Yes actually I do! Kim Murphy Kohn had sent me newspaper clippings and some immigration documents. I had found the death certificate on line. Patrick died in the Vroom block fire Oct 17 1951. His dob on the death certificate was incorrect. A notation in his father's notebook which I recently obtained has his dob as Aug 29 1898. On his immigration paper it is listed as Sept 4th 1898. I suspect that was when he was baptized. The date on the death certificate is Sept 15 1901. I think this was an estimate. He seems to have been a loner. I have various addresses for him around Butte but the photo in the paper did not correspond to a photo we had of him. In comparing the pictures the one we had seems to be of an older man. He did have an Uncle Patrick Hughes. The photo was taken in Reno so I'm thinking he may have been in the area too. He was baptized Aug 30 1833 in Kilcoo, Co Down, Ireland. His brother had addresses in Butte for both a Patrick Hughes and a Patrick F Hughes. Not sure if it's one or 2 people. There seemed to have been others from Kilcoo in Butte. He had other addresses but I don't recognize the names.

RE: Harry and Nels Petersen - Butte, MT
Patricia,

Sorry for the delay in responding. My computer has been on the fritz. I will definitely move the Petersens to the correct cemetery, but it will probably not be until the new year, since I am so busy with the holidays.

I really appreciate your response. When I do make the changes I may be contacting you again, since I would be very interested to know what other Petersens might be buried nearby these two. I will gather up my notes and get back to you.

Again very many thanks,
Raleigh in MI

Oops Sorry, boy did I get confused, My 3rd Gr. Grandparent's were both Lamb's and the Bordeaux's descend from Paternal line and are not Mayflower Descendant's.

Received your e-mail, thanks! As I'm still working on these, the Bordeaux's are also Mayflower Descendant's through their Maternal Lamb side.
