Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Butte, MT where the history is as rich as the copper, gold, silver and zinc that was mined from these mountains. The ethnic heritage brought by the miners and their families has created a genealogical treasure equal to the "Richest Hill on Earth".

If I have added one of your family members, please feel free to request a transfer of management. All photos posted are for the requesting person's genealogical use public or private. No credit is required.

William Lohman
Ann Jean Sullivan
Ann Jean Sullivan was a daughter of Timothy Sullivan & Marie Sullivan. I have all of her information so have put in a request to transfer her memorial to me since you offered that. Thanks much! - Bill

RE: William Thatcher - Butte, MT - Holy Cross Cemetery
After research I changed birth/death dates and now have William buried in Mt View Cemetery.
Thanks for your correction info.

RE: William Thatcher - Butte, MT - Holy Cross Cemetery
Do you have the birth date for the William Thatcher buried in Mountain View Cemetery? My cemetery choice was unconfirmed and like you I accepted the info based on his wife's burial there. I am checking the source of burial date.
Thanks for your help.

John, Ella, Louis Van Dam, photos graves/headstone
Hi Pat again,
Thanks a lot for the nice photos with clear captions. Ella has no headstone, but are her birth year and death year mentioned maybe in the cemetery administration? Louis' birth year 1890 on the common headstone with his brother John is wrong: it has to be 1889. I've seen meanwhile quite some more such errors in birth dates on grave markers in the USA. Do you have an explanation for these mistakes (which are incredible here in NL)?
gr. Peter

RE: Ella Van Dam
Thanks. I created now a Find A Grave memorial for Ella and requested for a photo of her headstone.

Pat, I think we're both coming from the same place. The photo looks great, and as long as the original is also on there I'm fine with it. Thanks for all your help!

Pat, You're welcome! I too love to use Photoshop, but I hesitate to change old photos. I know they can look better but I still feel guilty about changing photographs, although I have cloned off some bird poop from some of the headstones :-) I love seeing those old headstones with the photos of immigrants; it's very emotional at times.
