RE: Carver family
William Carver came from Arkansas to Texas and married Addie Lee Hisaw then moved to Roy, New Mexico.
William was and orphan and didn't know his parents. William and Addie Lee had three children: Earle, Lela and William. My wife is the daughter of Earle.
Hope this helps and I do have more information.

I too must say a Belated Hello !
I have been trying to locate my mother in laws grave for years now and keep hitting deadends. Her name is Geroldine Flournoy-Green. We are told she is buried in the Macedonia Cemetery in Benton, La. Bossier Parish, but I am told there is no cemetery in Bossier Parish by that name?? My mother in law is African American and there is a Mecedonia Cemetery located in Livingston Parish could that be the right one ? Her DOB is 11/14/1934 and DOD is 10/24/4968. She died in Lynwood, Calif. L.A.county. There is no headstone or marker either on this grave. When I google Mecediona Cemeteries in La. One comes up located at 830 Pump Station Rd. Benton, La. and this to me sounds correct from what family members have said ??? Any information will be of Great Help to me and the family. Thank you so much for your time and help ! RE: Hello Belford!
A very belated "Hello Belford!"
Yes I am sure we have crossed DNA's somewhere. Just got back from Fredericksburg VA and did a lot of hunting and the "Captain Carver" thing is still eating me away. Capn's son's name was Richard. I have more references to look up. I will post more when I get them all untangled! I sure would like to see Carver pardoned. Berkeley was found to be in the wrong for hanging him.

Byers Cemetery

Belford,

We were able to locate the Byers Cemetery today November 09, 2013 in Abita Springs, St. Tammany Parish, La. Thanks for your help. It is now in much better condition and taken care of than when you photographed it in 2009.

I hope you don't mind me adding these new photos of the cemetery.

GOD bless you!

Hello Belford!
Hi! My Name is Linda Carver Clark of Washington NC, "Little Washington" to some. My father Leroy Abb Carver passed 2/10/2013. We sorely miss him. Dad was a proud WWII Navy vet and quite an entrepreneur. He designed and built his own sand-mining dredge and created the Washington Waterfront in 1969. Dad is listed on Find A Grave. I have been taking stabs at geneology for abt 15 years off and on. I have read some of Keith Carvers source book and other info. Ancestry is a lot of help--but lots of it is unverified. Find a grave is fantastic! I am very interested in Captain William Carver aka of Bacon's Rebellion. We descended from William Carver Sr who lived on Stories Creek. William was from Thomas from Stafford County VA. Brad Decody Marble is a very distant relative and through "Green Carver" of Pickens Co, Alabama. Some distant 'cousins' have written to me over the years saying that they suspect also that William Sr. from Thomas Carver of Stafford County Va descends from Cap't Carver of Bacon's Rebellion. One lady on Ancestry.com has made the link all the way to Filby England 1500's. But I still don't know if anyone can say it is a fact. Any info you have would be appreciated.

I believe this might be my Great great Grandfather. May I ask
where you got the information on his grave site, his birth and death? It appears that he is buried next to my Grandfather, William A. Pearson, and
my Grandmother Mary A Jones Pearson.I am at a dead end trying to locate my great great Grandfather and any information you might be able to give me would be greatly appreciated. Sandy McKay Foster SFGOBB9905@att.net
