I live in Minnesota, born and raised, and have always had a deep interest in genealogy. This is what first brought about my interest in cemeteries and taking pictures of headstones. I started by taking the pictures of my grandparents' graves as well as their parents and their siblings, then it gradually grew bigger and bigger. I now look for people I either know personally, someone I can connect back to someone I know personally or someone of special importance or significance; I work on it as a hobby in my spare time and am now working on my 6th photo album of headstone pictures. People who have a findagrave memorial and whose headsontes I also happen to have in my collection I have uploaded. I hope to be able to communicate with others who live elsewhere and can get pictures of other headstones I cannot reach due to the distance.|

|Ruthy Goblirsch Sturgill||Duplicate Photos on Memorials|
Hi KP, I don't mean to upset you; but, remember when I was angry because you were adding duplicate gravestone photos to memorials that I had created that already had my gravestone photo posted? Well, I finally had time to reread the Find-a-Grave guidelines regarding the posting of duplicate photos on memorials. Here is an excerpt from their guidelines. I trust that at your earliest convenience you will remove all of your duplicate photos. Thanks.
What kind of photos may be added to a memorial page?
You may add a grave photo of the headstone or a portrait photo containing the memorialized. Do not add photos of the cemetery gate to the memorial but instead add them to the cemetery's page. If a cemetery photo has been designated by admin to serve as the default photo to appear on individual memorial pages in that cemetery, it will appear automatically. Not all cemeteries have a default photo designated. There is a limit of 5 photos for non-famous memorials that have not been sponsored. Sponsored memorials may have up to 20 photos. Any contributor can upload an appropriate photo to any memorial regardless of who manages the page. No permission from the memorial manager is needed.
However, if there is already a photo of the headstone, do not add a second similar photo unless the original is of poor quality and the new photo is dramatically better.
This leaves room for photos of the deceased within the five-photo limit on unsponsored memorials. Please note that it is not appropriate to delete a page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created just because you don't like a photo that someone else has added. If the photo is an appropriate addition to the memorial, it will be allowed to remain.

Hello KP, can you tell me the name of the cemetery where Duane and Lorna are buried at? Thank you.
|Ruthy Goblirsch Sturgill||RE: Richard Zetah Memorial - #29672301|
KP - After looking at the Zetah Family memorials (again), and finding the memorial for Mary Ann Zetah, I agree with you; so, I deleted the memorial that I had set up for Mary Ann Zetah. I can see that the stone was "reused" and had her date of death added. I wonder why they're in the Baby Section of the Cemetery.
I haven't been out to Bechyn (to photograph) since 2013. Have there been a lot of new graves added? I'm dealing with cancer again (3rd time) and I lost my husband last May; so, I'm finally getting back to working on the Bechyn Cemetery Memorials again.
Thanks for your help!!! Ruthy

KP . . . do you think the photo that you have posted on this memorial is actually Richard's grave? I don't. I have the same photo, and I believe it's a Zetah Baby, who the parents are; I don't know. The grave is located in the "Baby Section" of the cemetery and it only has one date on it, meaning the baby was either born dead or still born. Richard was buried in WV and they had a memorial service for him in Renville, MN; Bechyn played no role. If you have any proof that it's Richard's stone, I'm interested in learning about it. Thanks. Ruthy

#161443832. FYI appears to be a duplicate of your entry #49614901. Middle initial was entered rather than name. But it is the same person.

I noticed the photo of John L. Nelson's grave, what cemetery was he buried at?
Done. Thank you for doing this for his memorial.

Thank you for adding the middle name for June M. Hovland to her memorial. I wish you would have sent me a message that you had added a photo of her Grave
stone, then I would have noticed and made the change ...way back then.
