I have been doing genealogy for over 15 years. I live in Texas. Some of the lines on my dad's side are primarily in Virginia/North Carolina: McGee, Burnett(e),Scearce,Dallas, Hiler/Hyler,Vaughn etc. My mothers lines some ended up in Texas but some began in the Virginia area: Fewell,Beard,Richerson,Boyd, Hughes, Cornelison, Tabor,Morris,Gilbreath etc. My husbands fathers line, Texas/Germany: Pfeiffer,Hoerster,Fabra,Brauetigam, Marschall,Gelhausen. His mothers lines Duval,Norwood,Waldrep,Windham,and Partridge originated in Virginia area went to Mississippi, ventured to Texas and some ventured on to California. All are continuous works in progress.

I have also been recognized by the Alamo Chapter Sons of the Republic of Texas as genealogist. The last few years I have assisted potential members by helping them find those last source(s) or documentation to prove their direct lineage from their ancestor that was in Texas before Feb 16 1846.
