Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research on my family (Cocker, Maier, Peak & Sayers) for 30 years or so - mostly from Philadelphia. Within the past few years I have also been working on identifying and photographing the burial locations of Delaware Civil War veterans, Delaware Spanish American War veterans, and US Colored Troops (Civil War) veterans who were from Delaware. With this info I am helping to populate on-line databases. I am also a member of The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, Delaware Genealogical Society, Delaware Historical Society, and the Board of Directors of Friends of Historic Riverview Cemetery (Wilmington).

If you note any errors in any of my listings, please feel free to contact me. Also, I will be happy to transfer any of the memorial pages that I created, just let me know. Any of the photos that I have added to Find A Grave may be used for genealogical purposes.

I appreciate your looking for the Honey's. It always makes me sad to here that there are no markers. Many thanks for taking the time to look for them. Terry

Hi again,
I have created a memorial for Champion Bissell now, so we can add his name to his daughter Emily PerKins Bissell's page as the correct father. The Find A Grave# is 168086803.

My 4th great grandparents - Gray
Hi, Tedd. My genealogy research has lead me to the memorials you've set up for my 4th great grandparents, Lydia A. (nee Wyvil) and John C. Gray. I began researching this line about 25 years ago through the Delaware Co. Historical Society and was excited to both find your memorials and see your connection to that society. I wonder if you can help me with a bit more info?

1. The plot locations of this headstone
2. Whether John's or Lydia's parents are also either buried in the same cemetery or have memorials on Find A Grave

I think John's parents' names are James Gray and Sallie nee Cousender (from their son's 2nd marriage certificate to Mary Green).

I'll try to search more in River View Cemetery now that I've figured out how to do that.

Also, I'm planning a "genealogy vacation" some time next year to visit 4 or 5 cemeteries in this area (Chester PA, Wilmington DE and North East MD). Can you give me any advice on where to go to further my research on Gray, Minker, Reid, Bengiser and Lambert lines?

Thank you for all your work on and willingness to help with this.

Cathy S.
