Bio Photo Hello.

My name is Lisa, and I have been transcribing and photographing cemeteries for about 10 years now. Thanks to a Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness volunteer, I found this site. Finally! A place to put my work.

I record cemeteries to help preserve a record of our long, lost loved ones. At a cemetery, years ago, I noticed that several of the 'older' stones would soon be unreadable. I thought that it would be sad if at some point, that person couldn't be found when a genealogist came looking for them.

I don't think that they should be forgotten. I enjoy knowing that I can help someone locate that special 'someone' that they have been looking for. Or, to help them see their loved one's final resting place.

I am only human, and I make my fair share of mistakes. So, if you find an error, please email me, and I will do my best to correct it.

If you have information that you think needs to be added to a memorial, or if it needs to be updated, I will do my best to help out. I will not be bothered in the slightest if you want to add photos to the memorial.

Happy Hunting!

{{{I RECORD ALL THE STONES IN A CEMETERY. THERE ARE STONE MARKERS THAT HAVE LIVING PEOPLE ON THEM. SUCH AS: ONLY ONE SPOUSE HAS PASSED AWAY OR SOMEONE PURCHASED THE STONE IN ADVANCE, ALONG WITH THEIR PLOT.

IF THERE IS NOT A DEATH DATE, THERE ARE MANY EXPLANATIONS:

* THEY ARE NOT DECEASED
* THE DEATH DATE WAS NOT PUT ON THE STONE AFTER THEY PASSED
* THEY REMARRIED AND WERE NOT BURIED WITH THIS PARTICULAR SPOUSE
* THEY MOVED AND WERE BURIED ELSEWHERE
* THEY PASSED AWAY WITH NO LIVING RELATIVES OR FRIENDS TO PASS ON THEIR BURIAL WISHES

AND MANY MORE.}}}

GRAVE DEATH DATE
Hi, Could you please change Frank Weston's birth date to 1862? His marker is correct. He is my Great Grandfather. He is buried in Willow Springs Cemetery, Howell Co., Missouri.

Thanks, Ernie

RE: Seaborn Jones, and Priscilla Jones
So it is a woman? There is a long story that goes with this family along with my family history. Priscilla's husband was Seaborn Jones. He ran away with my grandmother leaving Priscilla. Just trying to locate his grave. I thought that he maybe with the family. I know where my grand mother is buried.
If you have any idea on where he may be can you let me know. Mary Ann is buried in Chapel Hill Cem.
Thanks

Lisa, SS Death index says he died in Lamar and the ladies that walked the cemetery, listed him there. That is all I can tell you!

Thanks for listing my Granddad Robert O. Kessinger. I wish the Mormon Church would see they have his death date wrong. I need to get down to Pomona and put some flowers on the graves...

Dry Creek
The Kessinger's in the Dry Creek cemetery mostly came from "Obediah" Kessinger (and Solomon). This is the correct spelling...

Just rte-read my message. Correction! My husband, Clark Wilson Coberly (F.A.G. #53914119) is Frank and Mattie's 7th child, NOT their 7th son! Sorry! My fingers are not working well today, it seems! Thelma
