Bio Photo Hello.

My name is Lisa, and I have been transcribing and photographing cemeteries for about 8 years now. Thanks to a Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness volunteer, I found this site. Finally! A place to put my work.

I record cemeteries to help preserve a record of our long, lost loved ones. At a cemetery, years ago, I noticed that several of the 'older' stones would soon be unreadable. I thought that it would be sad if at some point, that person couldn't be found when a genealogist came looking for them.

I don't think that they should be forgotten. I enjoy knowing that I can help someone locate that special 'someone' that they have been looking for. Or, to help them see their loved one's final resting place.

I am only human, and I make my fair share of mistakes. So, if you find an error, please email me, and I will do my best to correct it.

If you have information that you think needs to be added to a memorial, or if it needs to be updated, I will do my best to help out. I will not be bothered in the slightest if you want to add photos to the memorial.

Happy Hunting!

{{{I RECORD ALL THE STONES IN A CEMETERY. THERE ARE STONE MARKERS THAT HAVE LIVING PEOPLE ON THEM. SUCH AS: ONLY ONE SPOUSE HAS PASSED AWAY OR SOMEONE PURCHASED THE STONE IN ADVANCE, ALONG WITH THEIR PLOT.

IF THERE IS NOT A DEATH DATE, THERE ARE MANY EXPLANATIONS:

* THEY ARE NOT DECEASED
* THE DEATH DATE WAS NOT PUT ON THE STONE AFTER THEY PASSED
* THEY REMARRIED AND WERE NOT BURIED WITH THIS PARTICULAR SPOUSE
* THEY MOVED AND WERE BURIED ELSEWHERE
* THEY PASSED AWAY WITH NO LIVING RELATIVES OR FRIENDS TO PASS ON THEIR BURIAL WISHES

AND MANY MORE.}}}

Thanks for listing my Granddad Robert O. Kessinger. I wish the Mormon Church would see they have his death date wrong. I need to get down to Pomona and put some flowers on the graves...

Dry Creek
The Kessinger's in the Dry Creek cemetery mostly came from "Obediah" Kessinger (and Solomon). This is the correct spelling...

Just rte-read my message. Correction! My husband, Clark Wilson Coberly (F.A.G. #53914119) is Frank and Mattie's 7th child, NOT their 7th son! Sorry! My fingers are not working well today, it seems! Thelma

Thank you for the terrific job you did with my husband's father, John Franklin Coberly! Along with the help from Cindy Lee:( her great grandmother is "Frank's sister) This is an outstanding Memorial page. My husband is Frank and Mattie Coberly's 7th son, Clark Wilson Coberly. I noticed a note from Robert Viguers listed below this message. I will be glad to help or answer any questions he may have about Frank and Mattie, or any of their family. My e-mail is: littleoldladywho4@gmail.com (little old lady who 4@gmail.com)
I would like to request a transfer of Frank's Find a grave memorial to me, also, his wife Mattie Fore Coberly #295856233. I have more pictures and information to add to their Memorial Page (one of their children, Martha Eudora Coberly Yanda (1917-1970) should be listed between June Ione Coberly Drymon and Paul Jams Coberly. These in-laws of mine are the nicest people that ever could be!
Thank you for your consideration! Thelma (Payne) Coberly F.A.G. Contributor 47839191, Member #334874338

RE: Wood Family
Sorry for the late response. I have been busy with Nana who has come to live with us. She requires more care than I was aware of. But you are very welcome and thank you again.

Something is happening, yours is the second message attributed to me that I know nothing about that I've received. Maybe it's time to change my password?
