I was born at Bertrand, NE on 4/14/39 along with my twin brother Sterling, mother's name Andrea Johanna Pedersen Fastenau and father Thomas Conrad Fastenau. Went to grade school in Holdrege, NE, moved to Omaha, NE at age of 15. Attened high school at Omaha Technical High School and Omaha University at Omaha.

Began my work career at Union Pacific Railroad Company in the accounting department, then took position at Bureau Of Explosives, AAR in St Louis and Washington, DC. Worked as hazardous materials inspector, technical representative and operations manager.

Then in 1974 got position with Federal Railroad Administration, having worked as an Inspector, Operating Practices Specialist, Hazardous Materials Manager for Region 6,

Retired in 2005.

Married Alice B Fastenau in October 1961 and have two wonderful daughters (Donna & Deborah), with 5 grandkids. After 43 years of marriage my wife passed away in June 2005.

I am now married to a wonderful Nelda Beavers Curtis Fastenau.
