Helper for Burke County Archives|
I am constantly updating my memorials. Please use the "Edit" tab to suggest a correction.
Please do not transfer a memorial to me unless I have requested it. Because I work for the Burke County Archives, I add information to memorials that I am in no way related to.
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
7 The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Erasmus Williams Beck is a famous memorial. I cannot make any changes, plus genealogy info cannot be added to the bio section of famous memorials.
Sorry that I couldn't help.
|James R Manning||Martha Beck wedding day photo|
By the way Diana, did you copy form my posts the wedding day photo, taken on Dec. 26, 1865 of Gr-Gr-Grandmother Martha Jane Ethridge and William Henry Beck. They had two photos taken that day, one where they setting down in chairs and the other they are standing. The one form them setting is the better picture, they both need to be sent to a photo restorer. If you don't have them, then send me you email address and I'll send them to you. I'll also send you a photo of the chair that was a wedding gift to them form, (and also built by)Gr-Gr-Gr-Granddad Samuel Ethridge. It was built a few months before December of 1865. My Aunt Patricia, who lives near Pensacola is in possession of this chair. It was handed down to my Granddad Wm Richard Manning. His mother, Nancy Ann Beck, my great grandmother, was the 1st and oldest child of Wm Henry and Martha. She gave the chair to my granddad.

Yes, you may use my photo in your family tree. Since we are cousins, then I would also likewise to use your photo in my family tree, along with your family line. Maybe we can share a few family stories.
Martha Jane Ethridge Beck is my Gr-Gr-Grandmother. Tell me how she is your 3rd great grandmother? What line did you descend from? Is it the Beck line or the Ethridge line?
Look to hear from you soon.........
James Ronald Manning (Ronnie)
She was my 3rd great grandmother. May I use your pictures in my family tree?
|Patricia Richardson Tillman||Prayer|
I just read your Bio and will include you in my prayers. I enjoyed reading your posted scriptures. I'm watching and waiting for Jesus' shout and we'll meet Him in the sky. With the world situation getting worse by the hour, it must really be soon according to signs listed in Revelations. May God continue to bless you, Patsy
