|I started my research in 1995, looking for Lockhart and Sams (my father's parents). My mother was one of fourteen and my father was one of eleven. I have eighty-one cousins - YES COUSINS! A very large family!|
My husband started his research in 2009 when he became the oldest living relative at age 49. He thought he had a small family with one cousin. His great grandparents came from large families - most of which he never knew.
Since then, I am now researching the names of Edgar, Radcliff, Markley, Sheppard, Somerville, Steed and Cheuvront (also on Father's side); Stacey, Pillar [Pilyer], Como, Aston and Hopper (Mother's family). During 2009, my husband showed interest in his ancestry so we are now researching the names of Stockdale, Leon (Leone) and Ankrom (Tyler Co). Currently over 37,000 in our tree.
During our research, the enjoyment of finding documentation that you never thought you would find and sharing it, is so satisfying and pleasing. Some of the expressions from my parents are priceless.
Memories are so very important to me! Those we can keep close and forever, are wonderful.
The memorials I have added have been made for memories and to assist those who do genealogy. They are not intended to hurt or upset anyone. If one has been posted that you prefer does not appear, just kindly contact me and it will be removed immediately upon request. My family is updated as I find more information and some memorials are currently waiting for burial information.
If you have pictures or anything that you can add to any memorial, please feel free to do so. The more we can help each other, the more we help others!
I appreciate all those who help in my search as I know those that I help do appreciate it also. FAG has been a remarkable tool in my research with those contributors in various states posting memorials that I have found and needed! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

|Chelly Yates||Elizabeth Ann Sams Tice|
I was wondering where you got the death date for Elizabeth Sams Tice? I've looked for it but haven't been able to confirm it. I see you comment about her being buried next to her husband which is most likely.

|Jonalee Young||Peter Conway Kelley|
Peter Conway Kelley was born 29 May 1870 in Roane County WV, the son of Joseph Thompson Kelley and Mary Catherine Creigh. Claudius Peter Kelley and Rachel Looney did indeed have a son named Peter, but he was Peter Granville Kelley, born 15 May 1871 and died 13 Dec 1941. He is buried in Roane County.

I hate to say this, but if they were put in the correct Cemetery there would be no duplicate. Will see what I can do about solving this problem in the next week or so. Another case of starting a new cemetery, without checking to see if one exists. UGH How I hate this causes mass confusion.
Thanks for letting me know.
Are you sure you have Rosa with the right Thomas? In the 1940 census Thomas is 50 meaning he was born in 1890 area plus the names of the children do not match the ones for Thomas b 1901. Thanks Bill

Yes. I believe the memorial in Bell Cemetery is just that, a memorial along with his brother William. Bell is a family Cemetery.

|Del Groves||RE: Bessie Marie (Lockhart) Summers|
Ok - I've deleted my memorial and have asked that the creator of the memorial for son James correct his mother to your memorial.
Here are the links to my websites:
|Del Groves||Bessie Marie (Lockhart) Summers|
see my duplicate memorial 92690344 which I inadvertently created because I did not find a listing in Leading Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery where she is buried [Find A Grave lists this cemetery simply as 'Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery'].
I will delete my duplicate memorial but first ask that you link your memorial to the correct cemetery. Please send me a note when that's done.
If you are a Summers relative I invite you to visit my website and to submit any additions or corrections. http://ourfamilysaga.com

OK I checked and it appears that Myrtle is already linked to her parents so I just deleted that suggestion and accepted the birth information for Mr. Wellman. Susan
