|I started my research in 1995, looking for Lockhart and Sams (my father's parents). My mother was one of fourteen and my father was one of eleven. I have eighty-one cousins - YES COUSINS! A very large family!|
My husband started his research in 2009 when he became the oldest living relative at age 49. He thought he had a small family with one cousin. His great grandparents came from large families - most of which he never knew.
Since then, I am now researching the names of Edgar, Radcliff, Markley, Sheppard, Somerville, Steed and Cheuvront (also on Father's side); Stacey, Pillar [Pilyer], Como, Aston and Hopper (Mother's family). During 2009, my husband showed interest in his ancestry so we are now researching the names of Stockdale, Leon (Leone) and Ankrom (Tyler Co). Currently over 37,000 in our tree.
During our research, the enjoyment of finding documentation that you never thought you would find and sharing it, is so satisfying and pleasing. Some of the expressions from my parents are priceless.
Memories are so very important to me! Those we can keep close and forever, are wonderful.
The memorials I have added have been made for memories and to assist those who do genealogy. They are not intended to hurt or upset anyone. If one has been posted that you prefer does not appear, just kindly contact me and it will be removed immediately upon request. My family is updated as I find more information and some memorials are currently waiting for burial information.
If you have pictures or anything that you can add to any memorial, please feel free to do so. The more we can help each other, the more we help others!
I appreciate all those who help in my search as I know those that I help do appreciate it also. FAG has been a remarkable tool in my research with those contributors in various states posting memorials that I have found and needed! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

|Beth Martin||Memorial #135271202|
Hello, do you by chance remember how you got the burial location for Memorial #135271202?
You have his name Alevandra Poole - I believe this is Alexander Poole. Both his death certificate and obituary just say he was buried in Marietta OH. And this cemetery is in the right county, but not there.
Also I believe he died Apr 27, not Apr 28. His obituary was published Apr 28 1930 in the Akron Beacon Journal and it says he died "last night".
Please let me know what you think - I believe he was the husband of my distant cousin Mary Jane Hanna, so I am not a direct relation. I believe this could be her memorial, 15183772, however I have not submitted an edit because her birth year on that memorial is 1856, and she was born 1849. It does say she was the wife of "Alex Pool" though. I also cannot verify her 1906 death year outside find a grave.

Hes is another trooper you can add to your list.
I just finished him.
I see you have done some documentation on the Hindman family (probably because of the Lockhart connection). I am descended from Hindman.
Would love to "talk" and see if we can share information.

|Bob ||Christeny Steed, wife of John Lockhart|
Hello Lockhart, I've been researching my Lockhart line and when I got to John and wife Christeny I have not been able to document them as husband and wife. In fact, I have not been able to find any vital records for Christney. Would you happen to have any documation on her?
With regards, Bob

I am trying to establish who her parents were. Monroe and Rachel Sams are linked as her parents, but according to the obituary, she was raised by her grandparents, Monroe and Rachel. Do you have any additional information on this?
|Deb Foley||Thomas Stockdale|
I've been doing research on my family history and want to ask you if you know if Thomas Stockdale was married to a woman named Mary Ann Herring (maiden name: Gibb)?
It is my understanding that my great grandmother, Mary Ann Gibb Herring remarried after her husband Thomas Herring died. If I recall correctly, she married a man with the last name Stockdale. I think he was a mine inspector (or something in mining) in West Virginia. My mother spoke fondly of him.
If you have any information please let me know.

Thank you for linking Uncle Argel with his wife and parents. This will help someone in the future!!
