|I started my research in 1995, looking for Lockhart and Sams (my father's parents). My mother was one of fourteen and my father was one of eleven. I have eighty-one cousins - YES COUSINS! A very large family!|
Since then, I am now researching the names of Edgar, Radcliff, Markley, Sheppard, Somerville, Steed and Cheuvront (also on Father's side); Stacey, Pillar [Pilyer], Como, Aston and Hopper (Mother's family). During 2009, my husband showed interest in his ancestry so we are now researching the names of Stockdale, Leon (Leone) and Ankrom (Tyler Co).
During our research, the enjoyment of finding documentation that you never thought you would find and sharing it, is so satisfying and pleasing. Some of the expressions from my parents are priceless.
Memories are so very important to me! Those we can keep close and forever, are wonderful.
The memorials I have added have been made for memories and to assist those who do genealogy. They are not intended to hurt or upset anyone. If one has been posted that you prefer does not appear, just kindly contact me and it will be removed immediately upon request. My family is updated as I find more information and some memorials are currently waiting for burial information.
If you have pictures or anything that you can add to any memorial, please feel free to do so. The more we can help each other, the more we help others!
I appreciate all those who help in my search as I know those that I help do appreciate it also.
Please visit the memorial for our beloved fur-daughter, Precious Renee Stockdale
Please visit the memorial for our fur-granddaughter - Meka Stowers

I am very broken hearted as well. So much could have been done to prevent this, someone dropped the ball and didn't care. I am not positive they will be buried at Red Bank Baptist. I only placed them there because the prayer vigil is being held there Monday night at 8 p.m. I cannot imagine how the family feels. I only pray God can comfort them now. Thank you for the message. God Bless!

Will try to remember, Only doing a few from there at this time.
|Kay ||Dorothy Robinson Hewitt|
I have tried to find an obituary for her but to no avail. If you use Ancestry there is a link you can pay for that allows people to read some old obituaries. I do not have that service. Was she maried to Robert Monroe Hewitt? Sometimes info can be gleemed from his obit for the spouse.
When I copy and paste an newspaper obit on the person's bio space,before I hit save, I put cursor on the area, and then use the roller on mouse to enlarge the print. When it's the size you like,then hit save. Best wishes. Kay

|Karen EAGLE Moman||Survilla Stalnaker|
Once again Thank you.
I just changed my aunt's cemetery location to to Sissonville, Kanawka, WV.
Her new URL memorial is now:
Karen EAGLE Moman
P. S. I know how you would feel about those whom steal your pictures. The same thing happened to me.A few years ago I sent over 25,000 (twenty-five thousand) pages of family history to a Historial Society.....they in turn sent to the University of Virginia Library. I see all of my pictures and family histories "word for word" all over the web.,,with no credit to me for the thousands of dollars and years I spent doing the histories. Ha

Thank you for your information about Survilla Mae "Billie' EAGLE Stalnaker
"This cemetery actually has a Sissonville address, not Pocatalico. I am not sure why. There is a cemetery already created for this cemetery. Thanks!"
I will add a note to my site for my aunt Survilla EAGLE Stalnaker about the location of the cemetery.
When her husband, Thurl, died in 2010 the obituary read:
"Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, with Pastor Jesse Waggoner officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Gardens of Memories, Pocatalico."
(I just added his obituary to the site as a note)
This site for Thurl Stalnaker also has his grave listed at (not mine) :
FLORAL HILLS GARDENS OF MEMORIES
West Virginia, USA
Thurl's middle name is CUB. and he is Thurl Cub Stalnaker, I

According to her SSA listing and the listing on the headstone, Wendell is the correct spelling. Thanx, Sam Sill

Penni Lewis Gilchrist said she would like me to send you her email, wants to talk about family. If agreeable let me know.
|Missy Roberts||Lucy Evalina Fought Hannaman West|
I've been researching my father's maternal side and Lucy Evalina (my 2nd great grandmother) is listed as being buried at the Wells-Seaton Cemetery as Lucy Evalina Fought Hannaman, but you have her at the Hannaman Cemetery as West. Help! Also, the Social Security Index lists her birth year as 1875, which is what is on her monument. I'd appreciate any insight :)
|Teresa LeMaster Fordyce||Ferrell Stone in Mt. Olivet|
There are two Mt. Olive cemeteries in Wood County. One is in Rockport and has not been used in many many years. The other is in Walker and is still used occasionally and very well maintained. The photo of the stone for Lewis Ferrell and his wife was taken in the Mt. Olivet in Parkersburg, which is located across the street from the City Park.
