My wife Sandy and I have been actively involved in hunting for our ancestors for nearly 50 years. It is a good thing we started young. We have searched archives, libraries, and cemeteries across the country. We have travelled abroad to England, Norway and Germany to continue our search. In 2002, I published a book on my Strother ancestry. Presently, I am working on another book that will encompass ancestors on all family lines for both Sandy and me.|
When not working on genealogy, I enjoy hiking in the Arizona desert. It is more beautiful than I can describe and great exercise. I play golf (high handicap), another activity to get me outside. I love good food and wine, old movies and my bourbon. Retired life is good!

Thanks for linking her to her mother. Her daughter appreciates you having created the memorial, too. Maybe you know Sandy J.

Went on the "website" and it's being held near where I live.

Hello, may we please have your permission to use your picture(s) in our family tree. We do cite both the photographer and Find A Grave as our source for pictures we're allowed to do. We like others to know who truly deserves the credit. Thank you so much for considering our request. S

Thank you so much for posting the photo of my great grandmother and 2xgreat grandmother's graves back in September! I just noticed that today. I don't know if I will ever make it to the cemetery where they are buried, so seeing this picture is the next best thing.

You're welcome. Can you tell I'm a bit OCD??? hehehe. Take care.
|George DeKay||RE: Vashon Island burial|
I thought he was buried with his wife there but due to your search I must be wrong in that idea.
Thanks for your trouble in looking.
